Shipping was 5-6 days which is to long for Prime Delivery. When item finally did arrive the mating surfaces of the diff cover (where it joins to differential housing had a marred surface with gouges and scratches. This is the most important and functional surface of the diff cover and should be smooth like glass. Scratches, not to mention gouges on this surface means it may not seal correctly to the housing and cause your diff fluid to leak out.
The drain plug magnet insert on this cover was very weak compared to the stock cover that it replaced. Also, raw edges of metal throughout on inside half of cover around drain plug threads, bolt holes, and from gouges scrapes in cover. All these surfaces should be ground and polished clean so no metal fragments can become loosened and float around inside your differential potentially causing catastrophic damage. Did my best to grind and polish the mating surface and frayed metal edges prior to installing, but should not have had to rehabilitate and refresh a new part. Also, installed the old magnet from the cover I was replacing since the one on this cover offers little to no confidence it would do its job.
Very disappointed Overall. Expected more from what I thought was a name brand OE part. Have a feeling this may be a Chinese knock off or counterfeit part. I should have sent back, but had to install as I needed my truck operating. Been installed for 1 day and so far no leaks but will be checking for leaks everyday.
Do not buy, choose another.
