5 Stars! "This is the first book in the Silver Hills Cozy Mysteries series and I loved it. We start out with a cozy mystery book reading that is given by the activities director TC at the Silver Hills. Flo and Agnes are attending. Of course Agnes wants some sex in the book and of course there is none. At the end the ladies realize the man reading a magazine upside down mind you is most likely dead.
To the horror of Detective Peter they mess up the crime scene a little but realize he and TC might be keen on each other.
Tolstoy, Agnes cat, is known to be around dead people and many think he kills people or knows something. Then we have Flo's dog Roland who hates Tolstoy. The two sleuth's are funny at times and the things they drag themselves and TC into are comical. At times they do act like teenagers but I think that brings out the best of the duo.
It was nice to see older sleuths in a book that can bring a smile and many twists to keep the reader guessing as to who did what. A great first book of a series and looking forward to the next one.
We were given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review." ~ Review By Babs and posted on Sleuth Cafe
From the Author
If you're like me and you like your cozy mysteries to be fun as well as...well...mysterious, I hope you'll enjoy the ladies from Silver Hills Senior and Singles Residence in Silver City, Indiana. These ladies don't know the meaning of the word "quit" and believe me they should learn it. If they did, maybe the word "dignity" might get some play in their lives!
