So, "Dead Space"....
Charlie is as awesome as ever, and I was enjoying his supporting cast as well. However, it was a real struggle to read. Words were missing, just gone, and it made the read through incredibly difficult. Major words too, and it was constant in the first half of the book.
Story-wise, the book was again a ridiculous look at Hollywood and its citizens. I really enjoyed meeting some of the new characters (and was actually rather angry when one of them died, and did so in a quick and off-hand manner. I was hoping for character development!) The Trekkies spoofing was hysterical, and provided a fun backdrop for most of the hyjinks. The ending felt rushed - we were left hanging on some subplot materials despite the epilogue - and while it had a solid core, Dead Space doesn't quite live up to the first book in the series.
Still worth picking up, but I'd wait for it to go free again from a readability standpoint.
I did not enjoy ALL the typos in this book. It made me feel as if the author did not really care about this book or just needed to write a quick piece to fill a void.
