I rented this because I thought it was a wholesome halloween movie for my two and four year old. No....we had to turn it off 30 minutes in because it got super scary and demented and creepy. It was fun to watch after they went to bed...definitely demonic at times...too many references to occult practices. And am I the only one who thinks it's creepy that two little girls were running around in the middle of the night with a homeless man and a clown that they just met..?

I use this movie as a motivational tactic to get my kids to do stuff. For example: either you watch that Halloween movie with the twin actresses, that put together can't even make for one decent actress, or clean your room. Other chores my kids would rather do include: raking the town's leaves, bathing the homeless, cleaning the septic tank, watching that that little boy 2 houses down pick his nose, dis-impacting grandma, wearing turtle neck sweaters while working outside in 100ºF + weather.

My point is I would like my 93 minutes back but I guess I got Olsen'd.

Still a Great Halloween Movie for my Kiddos

I loved their movies when I was a little girl and now that I am a proud mother of a beautiful 6yr old, my princess has also come to love them all the same. Last year we watched it for the first time, when she was 5 and this year she asked to watch it again! I do not believe it is digitally remastered, the image/video on screen appears very outdated. I'd say it was most likely converted from VHS to DVD and then repeatedly recopied. I could care less and it's perfect to my princess! I actually couldn't find this movie anywhere so I was glad to find it on prime last year. This year again I forgot I had prime videos and then my daughter reminded me we had watched it from Amazon! Next year I'm pretty sure she'll immediately just go straight to amazon now that she has discovered prime videos lol. Super cute movie! I'm just glad I don't have to rewatch Hocus Pocus for the 50 billionth time but that too is an all time favorite! P.s. My 10 yr old son was a bit into it as well.

Now that I have a daughter, I bought this for my own nostalgia, and so that she can watch it with me when she's older. I wish it was on blu-ray, but since it's only something I'll watch every now and then, a DVD will suffice!
