Kept it remarkably cold for 3 hours plus !!

Excellent product. Packaging was superb.

So I put it to a test - added 3/4 cups ice to both the Sun Tea glass and a thick traditional bottomed Manhattan glass . Took photos every hour for 3 hours- difference was striking - NO condensation on the Sun Tea glass (lots on regular) and temp after 3 hours was 33°F (Sun Tea) vs 44°F (almost wam really). See for yourselves.

The quality is excellent! Feel (though the rim is just a bit wide) and presentability perfect. I can really tell the difference in the temp when sipping from it. Much colder - I bet a good choice for martinis on the rocks! (will have to test that too!)

I plan to purchase more and add at least the 16 oz glasses to my bar inventory.

Now to enjoy a wee bit of Blanton's!

These glasses are awesome. They are however very delicate and should be handled with extreme care. Don't slam a cube into them or they will break. Hand wash and dry. No dishwasher. In return, these glasses hold cubes longer and do not sweat at all. Overall, these are awesome drinking glasses if you treat them correctly.

If you drink scotch, whiskey or hopefully bourbon, stop reading this review and buy these glasses! They are well crafted, strong and a true please to hold in your hand while you sip. I use them for bourbon club and coffee and love them for both Just seeing these pretty things sitting in my kitchen, makes me smile. Seriously I can't say enough good things about these, I'm a little embarrassed it took me so long to buy them. But remember like some other reviewers are pointing out, these are actually made of glass and glass can break if you drop it or things on it, just FYI.

Be warned! It does not fit a 2" square cube!

First the good news. These glasses are very attractive and appear to be well made. They are fairly heavy and exceptionally clear and if you plan on using normal freezer ice in them they will work great.

The bad news. If you are going to manufacture a glass and market it specifically for whiskey drinkers, you better make sure that it will easily fit a 2' inch cube of ice. I make my own clear ice. I use the Wintersmith 4 cube icemaker which makes 4 perfectly clear 2-inch ice cubes. I was very excited to try these when I received them. I got out one of 2 inch cubes to put it in the glass and quess what? It does not fit. The cube just sits on top unable to slide into the glass. Those of us who prefer to use 2-inch cubes for the ultimate drinking experience are going to be very disappointed. So 3 stars because it is a very nice and well-made glass, but if it was really made for whiskey drinkers, they should have really researched how you drink whiskey. I am disappointed and have not decided if I will be retuning them.

The double wall thing is definitely legit, keeps your hand warmer and the drink colder. They hold square ice cubes from the silicone trays perfectly, for when you do an old fashioned or similar. They look cool when entertaining - highly recommend!

These glasses are exactly what the description says, strong.
Pros- Keep Drinks Colder Longer, Machine Washable, Durable One Piece Design, Stable Base
Cons- Large Size for the small volume they hold.
I briefly had the Bodum Pavina previously and those things seems deigned to break. They were so fragile, and they had tiny base for their high center of gravity.
These glasses are nothing like that. The wall thickness (and glass type) match typical lab beakers. That means they're strong. And they have wide square bases just like a beaker too. So they don't tip over easily.
I use them for coffee in the morning and whiskey at night. They work perfectly for both. They insulate just as well as any other double walled glass, and the lip is tapered so it's no so fat that you spill on yourself. Big ice cubes fit in nicely.
They also don't have a vent or valve or whatever built in, so you can wash them in the dish washer like any other glass.
The only downside is that these glasses look large enough to hold 14-16oz, but only hold 9 (Yes, they really hold 9oz, percet for morning coffee or evening whiskey.) Even this could be a plus if you're trying to moderate your whiskey consumption like me.

I don’t know the manufacturing process for the glasses, I guess there is going to be some sort of bubble in the bottom center of the glass, a nice round bubble in the middle I can deal with that, but one of my glasses(see pics) had a odd looking oblong bubble, now this is seen when drinking out of the glass, just was not acceptable for me, I bought these to drink some fine whiskey for myself and friends, to be honest the glass looks like something you would get from a thrift shop, I returned them. Another note I tried to contacted the seller as there is a note in the box stating contact seller first, do not return to store, it’s been three days and no response from seller.

I've used Tervis Tumblers, which work great but are made of plastic and have a "cheap" feel.

These have the benefits of Tervis Tumblers, but they are made of real glass, so they have a solid, hefty feel. Because of the semi-vacuum the glasses don't sweat, even in Florida's summer heat and humidity.

Supposedly, one can pour hot drinks directly into the glass without tempering, although I haven't tried that yet.

I also purchased the 16 ounce version, which has the same benefits.

These are simply the best double wall glasses available. They maintain the temperature of whatever is in them absolutely perfectly. Cold or hot, you don’t feel a thing when you hold the glass in your hand. There is no fogging or condensation at all. Best part is that they are the thickest double walled glass I have found. They are incredibly sturdy and very elegant. And they are completely sealed (no little pinhole at the bottom that one normally finds in a double wall glass). Excellent product.
