ABOUT ME: I began scribbling stories at 5, typing them by the age of 8, and seeking publication for them beginning in my 20s.
I favor psychological suspense and supernatural tales and what I term "perceptive supernatural."*
My whole life, I've been drawn to reading gothics, horror, supernatural, suspense, fantasy and pretty much anything that swept me off my feet, imagination-wise.
I live in New England in a place surrounded by sea, woods, and stone walls made of local granite, been with my husband for 31 years, and generally am servant to a dog, cat, and many fish plus a few frogs in the backyard pond.
But additionally, I serve the story. I hope you enjoy what you find among my fiction.
Thank you for checking out my novels and stories.
* By perceptive supernatural or perceptive fantasy, I mean the perception of a particular character, which is that character's reality. None of us necessarily can prove we've ever experienced ghosts, but if we feel we have, in the story of our lives, we have. And this is how I see the people in my stories and books. These stories are their experiences.

Blog postSo we watched the recent movie Shirley. Great performances, interesting concept. It wasn’t what I hoped for, but it was based on a work of fiction, a writer’s interpretation of what she drew from an idea of Shirley Jackson’s life. Don’t let it deter you from reading the novels of one of the great writers of the fiction of the dark and strange sides of life.
Here are links online and a brief list of what I’d recommend to start with.

Heretics burn on the Illumination Nights and an enormous arena houses endless gladiatorial blood-fights between vampyre and shapeshifter, and somewhere in the bowels of the castle sits an infernal machine for the torment of the vampyre race -- called the Red Scorpion.
