Although this CD has previously released material, it still sounds fresh. Kip has a great voice and is a very talented guitarist. The 2 "new" tracks "Blind Revolution Mad" and "Rainbow in The Rose" are Winger songs that are done here for the first time accoustically and they sound great. The CD is easy listening and you can hear Kip's great attention to detail in every song.

Kip Winger (and Winger) have gotten a bad rap for so many years, along with many other talented bands in the late 80s and early 90s for the music they played, the clothes that they wore, and the size of their hair, which was unfair, but you can't choose opinions for people. Led by Kip Winger, Reb Beach, Rod Morgenstein, Paul Taylor, and later, John Roth, Winger was respected for their high caliber musicianship, diverse music backgrounds, and eclectic music. They always stood apart from the crowd and were in a class of their own among the EXCESS of the "hair bands" or "glam bands" (or whatever term you prefer to describe the music they played). They wrote and played great, fun music, and after the band broke up in 1993, Kip Winger released two solo albums ("This Conversation Seems Like A Dream" and "Songs From the Ocean Floor"). Four songs from "This Conversation..." were recorded on this CD along with Winger's trademark pop anthems. "Steam", "How Far Will We Go?", "Naked Son", and "Daniel" are probably the best songs off of "This Conversation..." and sounded amazing acoustically. The songwriting and musical ability of these songs alone demonstrated what so many people (with open minds and IQs of at least 7) have known for a long time: that Kip Winger is a great songwriter. Away from the lights and the glitz and the glam of arena rock and MTV anthems is some very good songwriting from a lot of talented artists that were pigeonholed into the label of "hair bands" in the 80s/90s, and Kip Winger is definitely near the top of that list. If you haven't heard his solo CDs, definitely check them out. If you want more of the same, repetitive, manufactured music, then you can listen to any Top 40 radio station or watch MTV (when they play music), but if you want some good rock music by a very talented artist, check this CD out. In my opinion, definitely five stars.

Although I was hoping for new material to be included on this release, it was nice to hear familiar Winger and Kip Winger songs presented in a whole new way, acoustically. Kip is a very talanted musician and this is a wonderful showcase of that talent.

I heard kip performing Miles Away with just his acoustic guitar on a local radio station and he sounded great so when I heard about this cd I knew I had to have it. Kip really brings new life to all these songs that were already great to start off with. When you hear them all stripped down without all the loud guitars and pounding drums you really get a fill for what Kip Winger the Singer/Song writer is all about, it truly is an Amazing CD to listen to

Any one who knows anything about music would IGNORE the critics regarding anything negative about Kip Winger. They obviously don't play. Kip is a hugely talented musician. The early Winger stuff was great, but PULL is a rock masterpiece. This album is also a "must have". The new take on these songs is brilliant. Kip never ceases to amaze. Without question one of the most underrated rock artists playing today. Buy this album, you won't regret it.

I don't usually write a review immediately after buying a product. But this one is different. What I want to say is, Go buy this album. Kip is awesome-an all-around great musician.

This album is live, with songs from Kip's first solo album, plus Winger tunes. High points are Miles Away, Under One Condition, Ez Come Ez Go, and Headed for a Heartbreak.

Note: Kip's voice has changed; it's not as raspy and untamed as it was in the 80's. Instead, it's polished with all the rough edges filed down. At first, I missed the old voice but soon the new one grew on me.

Finally, forget what critics say about Winger; they were a great band and didn't get enough credit for sophisticated songs and great musicianship. In relation to other 80's bands, Winger was one of the better bands. Forget the critics and listen to the music, instead.

I was a bit weary of what this CD would sound like when I purchased it... quite frankly, it was a pleasant surprise! Kip Winger has matured and re-created the commercial Winger hits into something more interesting and moving. The songs "Another Way", "Spell I'm Under" and "Heading for a Heartbreak" are chilling and beautiful! The vocals and musicianship are excellent, as are the arrangements. I also love the live tracks at the end, including a great arrangement of "Rainbow in the Rose." Kip has reinvented himself and this album is excellent. Check it out!

Although this has been around for nearly a decade, damn - it is still one of the best albums in my collection. This collection of acoustic hits, such as Under One Condition, Miles Away, and Headed For a Heartbreak are worthy versions. If nothing else, download, rip, or obtain Daniel and How Far Will We Go.
