I have a ganglion cyst on my wrist. It’s big enough that it will require surgery and I just can’t take the time off work right now. Insert this brace! I’m a nurse, so I don’t use it at work, but I use it on my off days and when I get home at night if I’ve been having pain during the day. I notice a huge reduction in pain and in the size of my cyst when I do use it. My only complaint is I have to take it off when I do anything with my hands because I don’t want it to get dirty, but that’s on me, not the brace. It doesn’t limit movement, it’s fairly easy to put on once you get the hang of it, and it helps with my cyst until I can have it operated on. Everything I needed it to do!

Relief for wrist ganglion cyst

Comfortable for my right wrist where I have an annoying ganglion cyst, it had largely eliminated all pain by supporting and immobilizing my wrist without restricting other range of motion. I can still type and use all my fingers perfectly. Could be a bit less expensive for a simple velcro wrap, but other than that, very satisfied. Better quality than another one I tried that was very loose around my thumb and needed constant adjustment. I’m uncertain if the “copper” actually does anything?

I have used a variety of splints for wrists and ankles. I'm 5'10" and wear Large everything. These splints appear equal to the Vive unit but are longer, thus digging into my wrist. I'll use them when I have to do physical labor, but for sleeping and office work, I'll use the Vive.

My solution involves a metal cutting disc on my Dremel or my bench grinder, cutting down the aluminum by about 3/8".

I found this brace to be more comfortable that 2 other longer style carpal tunnel type wrist braces I've purchased and used in the past. I recently had a ganglion cyst appear on my wrist along with more carpal tunnel symptoms, so I purchased this to wear at night. I am able to wear it at night without feeling too constricted, though I adjust it many times before I finally find the right tightness that I think will provide the needed support but not so tight it drives me crazy. It's easy for me to adjust without any help. I did wake up once since wearing it with my hand totally asleep (carpal tunnel) but other than that, it does seem to help. If nothing else, it helps remind me to keep my wrist straight as possible. I did use it for a few hours while doing some leatherwork as my wrist was troubling me and I felt I needed some support, it did the trick. I am doubtful that it really is copper infused, but overall I am satisfied with this purchase.

This was my first carpal tunnel wrist brace (I purchased the smaller right-handed brace not the full-length support with additional immobilizer support within). My subtraction of one star for this item has entirely to do with the booklet that comes with it. There are a number of sentence issues throughout but I will only focus on the instructions provided for exercise which are probably would be the most beneficial item with the wrist brace as there many similar devices that would provide the same benefits, otherwise: for example: exercise 4) Tennis Ball Grip Strengthening; you are instructed to squeeze the tennis ball as hard as you can for two seconds and release... and to perform 8 sets of 10 repetitions, which sounds absolutely insane since every other exercise has a maximum of 30 repetitions of anything. A "set" in this case should be an entire hold and release combined. This sounds like they want us to do 8 sets or 10 sets, it seems highly unlikely they want us to do 80 repetitions which is exactly what this sentence suggests. Really the word "set" shouldn't be used at all since a second exercise is not being introduced, a "set" should include both, a repetition... exactly what it sounds like: the repetition of a single one. There's also the 6) Wrist Lift exercise which begins "Start this exercise with your elbow bent at a right angle..." and shows an image of an arm extended completely straight out and extended, not bending their elbow at all, so I am left to come up with the exercise entirely on my own whether or not the author intends me to bend my elbow or not: do I follow the instructions as SHOWN or follow the instructions as WRITTEN, since they are two opposing ideas. This is otherwise a terrific product, very comfortable and the exercise instructions might even be helpful if followed the way they were intended to be although I'm not convinced they were written the way they were intended to be read. I'm also not entirely convinced that the "Wrist Flex" should be held for 15-30 seconds for each of 10 times... this is an enormous time window considering how painful this - in particular - "exercise" can be. This seems like exactly the sort of motion that might exacerbate the problem in my opinion... I'd aim for the lowest time suggested in this case and possibly suggest not trying to stretch much at all.
