First I want to state that I own the Simplisse double electric pump (which I love) and I also have used the Medela Harmony manual breast pump. I found that the Simplisse manual breast pump takes just a little longer for the initial let down however I was able to get the same volume (2-4oz depending on time of day) I am used in about 10 minutes without any pain. The Medela hand pump made me really sore and red after use. My complaints would be that there are many pieces that are kind of a hassle to wash/assemble and milk can start to pool at the mouth of the bottle. I do also think the detail of how the cap snaps onto the base of the pump is a design flaw, both are a hard brittle plastic. While this hasn't broken yet I think it would be extremely easy to break.

I pump out an ounce a day and completely pump out once or twice a week. This pump works well and is very comfortable. If it does not get put back together correctly, which isn't hard, but takes some practice, it does not have suction. I have been using it for about 3 months now with no problems.

This pump provides a totally comfortable pumping experience. It elicits a quick let down and expresses a good amount of milk for a manual pump. It does not distort your breasts like other pumps I have used. I actually used it while walking around my house and felt absolutely no tugging or squeezing, thus thought I was doing something wrong. Much to my surprise, I looked down and had over two ounces of milk after pumping for about two minutes. I highly recommend this pump!

Very gentle compared to other pumps I tried using. Its easy to pump as well. However I did finally get the electric Dr brown's pump and a bra that holds it in place so I had my hands free to do other things while I pumped.

I LOVE this pump! It doesn't pull on my nipple like all the other ones. It's so comfortable. I've heard of people not getting enough milk when using this pump, but I never had that problem. I assume people aren't reading the booklet where it states that it may take a few days for your breast to adjust to the pump since it is different in the sucking motion versus the nipple tugging like other pumps.

This has a million parts, is hard to wash, and I couldn't even get it to get ANY milk out of my engorged boobs. I usually love all the Dr. Brown products, but this one missed the mark. Don't even bother.

Pump feels great on! Although, personally it doesn't pump out as much milk as my other Evenflo pump. I have to manually squeeze my milk out to fill the bottle. Too bad I can't return it. Also, it leaks! Don't buy it. :(

In all fairness, I'm used to my double Medela electric pump...but I thought this device may help extract more milk, and it did the opposite. It is relatively comfortable if you're irritated by an electric pump and need a break. I may also just be the type that finds it easier to hand express than use this pump, which may not be the manufacturers problem.
