This is the first pair of Docs I've order online, so I went with amazon naturally.

I've owned 2 pairs of the 1460 Vegan boots, and this is the first pair I've had that completely come apart.

First boot started to come apart, and I was like no big deal, I'll fix'em, but then I noticed it happening to the other one.

Just looking at the boots, they still look new, it hasn't even been 6 months. Very disappointed in this pair. Clearly a manufacture defect.

I'm not saying I'll never but them again, but perhaps next I'll just got to a retail location like I've done in the past and inspect them prior to purchasing.

My kid loves them! We're vegan, so we were glad for the option. He hasn't had them long so we have yet to see how they'll stand the test of time. I love docs, they've always been great, so we're hopeful.
Edit: (06-05-19) Not even a year and a half later did these boots last. Under normal use and wear the back of one of the boots has completely torn. The sole of the shoe is falling off and the seam is torn. Docs are supposed to last longer than a year and a half! Quite unsatisfied with this occurrence.

I've had mine for a couple of months now and they've been holding up well with few scuffs, no tears, and good luster. The material is definitely not at the same level of durability as leather, as the fabric could be torn appart if enough stress is applied. On the other hand, I can wear the boots all day without feeling like my feet or knees ache. They do have to be worn in first of course, it took me about a week, which is typical of docs. They run somewhat small and definitely feel much smaller at first before you wear them in, so if that's a concern for others, I'd say to try a size up.

I do absolutely love these and wear them all the time. They're great for work or just everyday use. I did come across a couple problems in the time that I've had them which is now coming to 3 months.
1. The top of the shoe rubbed against my leg to the point were it hurt and I now have a bit of a callus where it was rubbing. I tried just wearing higher socks to prevent this, but the way the shoe rubbed against my leg just pushed the socks down till the shoe was touching my skin again. I don't feel it anymore, but it was really annoying in the moment.
2. They squeak. Not so much anymore.. I must've worn them in or something. But they used to squeak really loudly as I walked which was kind of embarrassing and annoying. I'm not sure what caused it, but it did go away eventually.

Those two things aside, these are really great shoes and I do absolutely love them. They're SO nice and comfortable.

These are the best freakin shoes I’ve ever worn, and the fact that they’re vegan makes me so happy, not to mention they don’t require the upkeep of the leather ones and don’t stretch! The support is amazing, I walk a lot and have bunions so I need a wide toe box and all the support I can get, plus I needed space to put my orthotics. I’m usually size 9.5, but since there are no half sizes I bought size 10 and they’re PERFECT!! Plus they look super badass. I’m in LOVE! Totally worth the extra $$ for this amazing find, that I’m sure will last me so much longer than any cheaper imitation I’ve tried in the past. (I usually don’t spend more than $35 on a pair of shoes, but they fall apart after just a few months and hurt the whole time). These shoes are gonna last me years probably! It was time for a major upgrade and these shoes DELIVERRRR!

I wanted to love these boots. I had them saved in my cart for over a year. Im vegan and so are the boots so that was great. Theyre beautiful.....but....
they are the most uncomfortable things I have ever put on my feet in my life. 😭 I did one round around the parking lot where I do security, takes about ten minutes, and my feet felt like they were on fire. I feel like I have 137 blisters on my feet and the boots are sooo heavy. I have been sitting for 6 hours in them at work, not moving and my feet are throbbing. I got the correct size, they fit perfect. Im super sad, Ive wanted a pair my whole life and finally got them and they are destroying my tootsies. Now I have to buy another pair of shoes, after spending $100 on these, because they hurt me so bad.
Update: I have worn them every day for over a week and they have gotten looser and a bit more comfortable.

This was my self present for my first vegan birthday and I fell in love with them! Two years ago I had tried another pair of Dr Martens and ended up returning them because they were too heavy! These are perfect, not too heavy (but please note that I don’t say that they are lightweight neither) and smoothly black! Hope that they will last more than a year because I believe that being vegan should also involve being sustainable!

I usually wear a UK 5 ,but in Dr.Martens style UK size 5 is too big as i have a thin foot.
When i've tried these boots definitively i thought that those boots didn't seemed mine....seemed the boots were bigger/larger than the rest of my body,lol.
So i returned these boots and ordered an UK size 4 and they are very small.
There is a big difference between these two sizes.
Now i will have to try find a way to lengthen it ,and if this won't happen i think it will be very hard for me to walk with these boots.
The boots are beautiful,the only problem is fitting in skinny persons.

Love these boots. They look great. I bought size 7 instead of size 6 as I have bunions and they do move about a bit on my feet but I've found sticking an inner sole inside sorts out this issue.

Update 02/11/2019 Just worn them out in the rain and discovered they let in the water. This is not what I would expect from Dr Marten or any well made shoe. Disappointed.

When these boots arrived, I was very excited. However, once I tried them on they were too big and don't seem to come in half sizes. I still rate the product 5 stars as they were excellent quality, arrived earlier than expected and there were no issues getting a refund. It was just unfortunate they they didn't fit.

Having already worn over the years & still have a considerable number of leather DM's, I thought I'd give these vegan option boots a try. Really like the colour & shine with it, plus the material used is very supple and I've had no rubbing of heels etc since wearing them. Very comfortable & fits true to usual DM sizing too. Subsequently I've purchased the shoes available in the same material too. Really worth a wear, however you stand with the ethics of wearing leather.
