I feel like I've tried every joint supplement under the sun and this one worked for me! Honestly, I wasn't really expecting the results I got - dislocated knee caps that would swell and be painful when I did my beloved trail runs and low range of motion in yoga - gone. I can get in 3 to 4 miles of running without pain or swelling. I'm 48 years old and thought I would have to give up running forever - this is life-changing for me. In yoga, I can now do a "normal" low lunge without pain or feeling overextended. One thing of note, I bought the high strength of 12 mg in coconut oil (different brand) and actually have not gotten the same results!! Dr. Mercola uses the Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA) in his blend, maybe that is the difference? Anyway, I'm buying this again and tossing the other brand!

I have heard a lot of great things about Astaxanthin. My only issue with this product is that it only comes in a 4mg dose. Everything I read says that we need 6-8 mg. I am sure this is a great quality product but I don't think that I can spend that kind of money to take two of Dr. Mercola's Astaxanathin twice per day. I found a similar product that will meet my needs for a little more than one of Dr. Mercola's bottles of anstaxanathin. This is a high quality product for sure.

I bought Asthaxanthin after hearing and reading some rave reviews on the supplement (especially from Dr. Oz, who I am a big fan of and usually find his advice very informative and helpful). So after doing my own research, I decided to buy Mercola's Astaxanthin (supposedly one of the best in the market). After taking the pill, once a day, everyday for 3 weeks, I can honestly say that I have not noticed any changes... I really had high hopes for this product but I don't think I will be purchasing this again.

I have been taking this product daily for over 3 months -- I noticed after the first month that my hot flashes had decreased in frequency and intensity. After the first month I didn't re-order right away and noticed my hot flashes slowly increasing in frequency and to some extent, intensity. I immediately re-ordered and within a few days of taking Dr. Mercola's Astaxanthin they backed down again. Now, 3+ months in I ran out again and guess what? The hot flashes have begun to increase. I would like to purchase a less expensive brand BUT don't see any with the same ingredients as Mercola's product -- he adds "ALA" -- not sure if that is what is helping with the hot flashes and not wanting to spend time "testing" others I'm going to re-order Mercola's product only this time I'll order the 90 count bottle -- its a much better price per capsule then the 30...

I am picky with the brands I purchase in regards to quality and purity, which Dr. Mercola is extremely diligent in doing his best to assure. Pricing is exactly the same as his website, but for ease of ordering and free shipping with Prime, I chose to order here. If you think this is pricy compared to other products on the market, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Though absolute purity and possible toxin free cannot be guaranteed, this is a product that I trust. If you're a women and not looking to supplement Astaxanthin at this dosage, it is offered in Dr. Mercola's Krill Oil for women at a much lower dosage.

I cannot use this product. It causes me to have a itching skin rash. I have recently learned that I cannot take supplements that use magnesium stearate or vegetable stearates as binders and fillers. I have to be very careful now to research vitamins to be sure that they are pure and do not contain binders and fillers.
