Directions

Made a huge difference with post partum depression in winter, giving me vit D my body lacked from nursing a baby.BUT Nov 2024 I received a new order woth the expiration date of 10/24. Non returnable item, should be replaced. Very annoying.

UPDATE ~ More caution > Last D3 test indicated that my level went WAY HIGH...which can be toxic. I was using 5 sprays as indicated on the label. I would start with less, and ask your doctor to order a test. YMMV.

HEY! Do not knock it unless you try it. I tried the oil suspended with dropper...one tasted like motor oil and was impossible to drop the correct amount. THIS is easy to spray and it tastes good. My Dr. told me to go ahead and dose the 5 sprays to bring up my lagging vitamin D [18]. I used it for about 3 weeks. She ran a new blood test and then said, "OOPs! Too high!" [90] So I am cutting that dose in half, as her target number was 50. YMMV.

You never know exactly what you're getting, especially online, and especially with vitamins where you don't necessarily feel or see the result right away. So I trust Mercola products to be on the safer and healthier side, since his business revolves around having uncommon product qualities that are often contrary to the short-cuts that standard products sometimes offer. This vitamin D tastes nice, goes in easy (no pills to swallow - yay!), and I've had no problem with the sprayer as I've seen mentioned in former reviews. It must be the redesigned one, b/c the sprayer on my last several bottles seem EXTRA heavy duty and non-breakable. The taste is a light citrus flavor, with none of the weird after-taste that some vitamins give. Even my kids will take this without fussing, so this is a big hit in my book, and I'll keep buying it. (I also love and use his B12 spray) My last purchase of this was for my mother-in-law who wanted to work on her vitamin D levels easily. This stuff is great!

5/2013 ETA I've been using a half dose (3 sprays daily) along with a regular multivitamin, and recently had my D levels checked during an annual checkup. Bearing in mind, I'm in the Northeast, and we just emerged from winter and are finishing spring, my D levels were nice and normal with that routine. In fact, they were even on the low-end of normal, indicating to me that I could likely be taking the full dose without issue. Hope that helps!

This is the best Vitamin D I've ever used. I've had problems with other brands in gel caps and liquids. They all cause me to feel ill and weak, and lower my blood sugar or make my adrenal glands weak because I can't do anything and start shaking! Not sure what that is all about. All I know is that this spray Vitamin D is the first Vitamin D I can use and it doesn't cause me to feel ill. My doctor measured my D levels and said I was really low before I started taking this, so it isn't like I didn't need it! The taste is also pleasant. It's so easy to use and I like that, with all the other supplements I already take, there is one less pill I have to swallow! The only thing the company could do to improve this product would be to get the synthetic preservative out of it and replace that with something natural and healthier.

I had been seriously deficient in vitamin D all of my life. This product is absolutely amazing and for some reason, I can tolerate it much better than the D pills and sublinguals, which I was told by a natropath I was actually allergic to.

For my reorder, I did include Mercola's vitamin K to take with the D spray also. We are all deficient in this vitamin and it helps with heart health and maintaining healthy tissue.

I would highly recommend this product!

Been taking for a few weeks now and I don’t think the instructions are all that clear, it says to spray 5 times but doesn’t tell you to swallow or keep it there for 30sec like most sublingual vitamins tell you to do so I don’t even know if it’s being absorbed. I haven’t noticed any difference in my immune health or mental health because I’m sick right now and my summer depression is really bad. Also made me very nauseous for a week and half.. i just spray 5x into mouth then swallow bc again there’s no real instructions on the back of the packaging. Also does not taste good like other reviewers were saying it taste like pure oil with a slight watered down citrus taste. Will not be buying again since it’s not helping my vitamin D levels at all or helping w immune health which is one of the main reasons I got it.
