Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India inks offer powerful color in a convenient package. These highly pigmented India inks not only remain lightfast and permanent, but are also totally waterproof when dry. They adhere to nearly all surfaces and are non-clogging when used in pens. Inks can be diluted with water and used with brushes in traditional watercolor techniques or in dip pens, technical drawing pens, and airbrushes. All colors are brilliant and transparent, except black and white, which are opaque and have excellent covering power. Each set includes 12 different colors in 0.5 oz (15 ml) plastic bottles and a custom mixing palette. Set 2 colors: golden yellow, orange, tangerine, crimson, cherry red, red violet, aqua, turquoise, yellow ochre, terra cotta, van dyke brown and sepia.

I wish the set had more blues; there are too many warm colors. I would have preferred to get them as open stock. The ink pours clumsily and when it dries the bottles get stuck shut.
The good outweighs the bad. I've never seen anything like them. I'd buy them again when they run out.
The color charts are on Bee Paper Company's Aquabee Watercolor paper. It isn't super expensive and you can often get the small pack cheap at craft stores with a coupon. The inks look fairly nice on that paper, and I have also ordered some Arches watercolor paper to see if I can use that for a smoother look. The painting I have posted here is on 100% cotton cardstock (111 lb / 300gsm - super white) which was still a little streaky, but looks pretty cool in real life. I'm hoping the higher quality watercolor paper will help give a smoother look, but it was good for messing around with brush application.
Very recommended for inkers of all sorts. I bought this set along with the complementary set, great buy. You won't regret it.
A word on Amazon customer service: one of the bottles in this set was probably not properly sealed and spilled. just one bottle, but when I spoke t to Amazon about it, They refunded the whole set+shipping. These people care about the customer!
