I bought this item to add to my scissor jack to break down pallets. Very little strain on the jack. BUT, the first time I used this attachment the bolt exploded. I wear safety stuff, so no harm, no foul. There was very little pressure being applied to the wood as I had turned the air down on my compressor to about 75PSI to turn my 1/2 inch impact. If this thing will break a bolt that easily just applying a small amount of pressure to pallet wood, it'll never lift a vehicle. I put a much stronger bolt in it and haven't had any more trouble. I won't throw the blame on Dr. Roc unless they make these bolts themselves. The rest of the tool is solid and does a great job. Just use a little caution the first time out.

A nifty way to create an electric scissor jack using an impact wrench

This is genius. I can now lift or lower a wheel in seconds using my cordless impact wrench and a 2 ton scissor jack.

One note.....on the second wheel I tried to jack up using this adapter, the vibration from the impact wrench vibrated the nut off the retaining bolt despite the fact a lock washer is included. The bolt, washer, and lock washer all went flying. I grabbed the parts and some Loctite Threadlocker Red (271) and reassembled the nut and bolt.

After using the Threadlocker, I went on to use the jack on the wheel where the bolt flew apart and two more wheels without further incident.

So my advice is to use Threadlocker if you intend to use an impact wrench on this adapter. And keep the speed low to minimize vibrations.

My cordless impact wrench was able to lift the car in under a minute with no effort at all.

On a hot day the last thing you need is to have to strain with a scissor jack changing a tire. I am a pretty strong person and have done manual labor my entire life, but if there is an easier way to do it, I take it. I keep a Ryobi 18v 1/2 inch impact gun in the trunk all the time in case I have a flat. I have a AAA type plan, but I can change a tire and be on my way in 10 minutes. This adapter allows my impact gun to operate the car scissor jack. I do break the lug nuts loose before jacking the car because if my battery happens to be low, I can jack the car manually easier than breaking loose a lug nut that is too tight. The product works as advertised, and has saved me a lot of work each time I use it.

The concept is sound but the reality not so much. On lower torque, it does not move the jack. On higher torque, I see the screw getting loose and metal shavings from all the impact banging either coming from this device, jack or the impact driver. Good for infrequent use but if you use this every month, something will break after a few uses. It can't cost more than $1 to make this. At $5, I would have given this 5 stars. Even $9.99 would be reasonable but $15 is too high of a price for a piece of metal that cannot be used reliably.

At first I was going to use the supplied bolt and nut, this would have worked fine . I trimmed the bolt length I needed and used Loctite thread locker (red) to make sure the nut didn't back off. Latter I replaced the bolt with a grade 8 pin and washer held in place by a E clip This ran very smoothly and should never vibrate apart. I would suggest using some heavy oil (diff oil) on the jack screw as it is now spinning faster than hand operation. I would recommend this to anyone it's an easy upgrade. Don't forget to put your impact driver or speed wrench handle and socket in the car now that you changed the drive. I was able to change all for wheels from Winter to Summer tires in about 45 minuets.

Unless the product is perfect, I don't like giving 5-stars. However, this product is so unique, and useful, I feel like it deserves the 5th star.

The only issue I experienced, using this with a scissor jack that came with my Toyota SUV, is that it's very difficult to keep it aligned.

The hole in scissor jack is larger than the hole/bolt of the Dr.Roc adapter. Unless you hold the drill in the perfect position, you will be dealing with a wobble that feels like it might rip your drill apart.

I'd like to find some sort of sleeve/washer that can hold the bolt centered in the scissor jack, but I'm very happy with the purchase (I've been looking for this type of adapter for years).

PS: Make sure you tighten that nut really well, or it might fly apart. Just hand tightening isn't enough when dealing with a wobble!

This adapter is exactly what I needed for a 2008 Grand Cherokee OEM scissors jack. This jack lifts the rear axle, and it takes a three foot OEM extension to raise the jack. The OEM handle has three sections and is unwieldy. So I purchased this adapter and a three-foot (that's right THREE FOOT) long socket wrench extension to operate the OEM jack. The adapter fits superbly. I can now use the OEM jack, even though I am 71 years old and have arthritis in my shoulder joints.

Worked well on my 13 Honda Accord jack. I suggest installing this with 2 wrenches a 16 & 17mm while your car is resting on the jack. So in other words start jacking it up until you can't hand tight then install this adapter. To bolt on from a work bench is just too difficult. I bought another for my CRV jack too. I would be cautious to use an actual impact wrench...I've seen YouTube videos of people stripping the threads on the factory jack. Just buy a 1/2" ratchet and hand crank or attach a 19mm socket on it. Harbor Freight has it all.
