Ok - I'm just about to order a new pair for use in my walking shoes and I noticed a couple negative reviews. So, I decided to put in my review to counter them - I have four pair of these - 2 in work shoes - one in hiking boots and one in my walking shoes. It's hard to say which gets more use my work shoes (on a job that requires me to be on my feet all day on cement floors) - or my walking shoes (I walk a lot - for my health 4-5 times per week 1 - 2 hours per.) These inserts have helped me avoid aching feet for 3 years (same ones) - they're getting a little worn but still going strong. I'm only buying new ones to go with my new walking shoes - THAT'S RIGHT THEY'VE OUT LASTED MY WALKING SHOES ! So to these negative reviews I'd say "are you sure your talking about the same product ?

UPDATE :

After some consideration - the only thing I can think of as to why a couple of reviewers gave these a bad review (most seemed to complain about them slipping or bunching up in shoe. One - you've got to cut these to fit your shoe size - there are outlines on the undersides to follow according to what size you take. This is extremely important if you don't cut them correctly they will not fit in your shoe properly and probably will move around on you. So be extra careful when you get ready to cut them to fit - screw it up and there's no going back. Better to leave them a tiny large - put them in shoe and try them out - you can always carefully trim off more later. In fact I leave a slight extra around the outside - they wear in and that little extra material gives them a better grip and I believe stops them from shifting around. Either way good luck - they're worth a try - usually when a product has mostly good reviews and only a few bad it indicates the reviewers giving the poor reviews probably screwed up. Any product no matter how good it is can be screwed up by poor installation/usage.

I am the perfect candidate for these kind of insoles.

You see, I am a postal worker. I work in a sorting center, walking constantly on my feet upon a cement floor, for 8 hours a day.

I go through new shoes every 6 months.

I had high hopes for these gel insoles. Had hoped that it would give me better support and less feet aches than standard insoles.

The verdict? No dramatic differences. I can't say the insoles make my feet feel any better. I still get a great deal of foot aches and discomfort after several hours of walking. I don't even know why the word "massaging" is even in the product description because that feeling doesn't even exist.

Yes, my shoes are sized properly. Yes, I did cut these insoles correctly as many of Amazon reviewers have suggested. I just don't think these insoles offer any relief or additional comfort benefits that one would expect from the product description.

I have been using Dr. Scholl's gel insoles for years. This is my first pair of gel work insoles. Although I'm using them in a pair of walking shoes (not work boots) there is a very positive difference. The added support at the sides from the ball of the foot through the heel area is a great improvement. This style of insoles will now be my choice for boot and shoe.

I worked as a cashier for a long while and after even a few hours of standing up without much movement it really did some damage. I couldn't stand up normal, my legs almost gave out on the longer shifts, etc. These took off a lot of the pressure, and while I did feel some strain after 8+ hour shifts, it was nowhere near what I had felt before. Not to mention the short shifts went by without even a twinge of pain or strain.

I recommend this if your job involves a lot of standing with little to no movement during the work day. You won't regret it.

These work pretty well. I work in an industrial setting and spend a lot of time on my feet on hard floors in heavy steel toe boots. I also walk around a lot up and down stairs, etc. My feet and lower legs were killing my at the end of every day, and would carry on into days off. My boots aren't the best fit, and admittedly are not the best boots. My employer gives a annual stipend for new boots, so I wanted to wait it out until I get the new boot money. These insoles have made a definite noticeable difference. I've been using these for about a month now, and while I don't have fresh legs and feet at the end of a hard day at work, they do feel much better than they had been.

Definitely worth the money, and has helped me out a lot in the meantime until I get new boots. Maybe I'll pop these in the new boots when I get them as well!

So i just got my pair last night. After just finishing a 9 hour shift standing on my feet i can confirm these helped reduce feet pain GREATLY! After about 5-6 my feet were starting to teel some pain but it was NOWHERE near the pain i felt with the regular soles. I am betond happy with my purchase.

I have returned this to Amazon. I felt bad doing so as I had trimmed to my size, however there is no effective way of testing these without trimming and wearing.

I wear size 11 - 11.5 in most shoes and boots

I wore these with Vasque Sundowners (think heavy hiking book or commonly called a "backpacking boot") which are very aged but have been well taken care of. I chose Dr Scholls due to name recognition and price, to replace the tattered old insoles.

I was hoping to avoid a more expensive option like Superfeet for these boots that I don't wear with much frequency.

Pros: the heel gel IS effective and nearly massaging as claimed by the box

Cons: the arch. There was a clear effort made by Dr Scholls to make these as universal as possible - this is unfortunate as you end up having the arch start too "soon" or too close to the heel for my size 11.5 feet. I admit that every foot is different and honestly it was more dramatic on my left foot than on my right, however it was a non-starter. I gave it two full days on my feet of wear and by the end of the second day I nearly took the insoles out before the end of the day.

Recommendation - if you are a 10.5 or lower, I bet the arch is better positioned. Otherwise if you are larger size, I think we will have to look elsewhere.
