About the Author
Abraham (Bram) Stoker was an Irish writer, best known for his Gothic classic Dracula, which continues to influence horror writers and fans more than 100 years after it was first published. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin, in science, mathematics, oratory, history, and composition, Stoker's writing was greatly influenced by his father's interest in theatre and his mother's gruesome stories about her childhood during the cholera epidemic in 1832. His works include the novels Dracula, The Lady of the Shroud, and The Lair of the White Worm, and his work as part of the literary staff of The London Daily Telegraph. Stoker died in 1912, leaving behind one of the most memorable horror characters ever created.
Ben Templesmith is a New York Times best selling artist and writer most widely known for his work in the comic book industry where he has received multiple nominations for the International Horror Guild Awards as well as the industry's top prize, the Eisner Award. He also won a Spike TV Scream Award. As a creator, his most notable works have been 30 Days of Night (which spawned a major motion picture) and Fell. His other projects include the critically acclaimed serial Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse, as well as Welcome to Hoxford, and Singularity 7, all of which he also wrote.

Other than that, I must say this is a quality edition of the original text at a very acessible price and with quality illustrations throughout. A good buy.
Overall - not bad edition - but not great.
but there is something that i want to add regarding the info about this item.
This is not a Graphical/Illustrated retelling of the novel. but a resolitication with a couple pinup style illustrations scattered in between pages.
my only dissapoinment was this. I expected an illustrated version of the novel.
so i am gonna rate it 2 star, since it is nothing more than umteeenth time publishing with a new cover and a couple of illustrations. (this is not an evaluation regarding the novel itself but only the presentation and description of the item)
Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night, Fell, Squid Girls...) is one of the hottest artists right now, and that's in no small part due to his uniquely terrifying take on vampires. IDW cleverly paired him with a nicely rebound Dracula to make one of the nicest collector's editions of the book I've ever seen.
No, this isn't a graphic novel - but it is a bloody, good (and bloody good) book.
