I have had this tap installed for about a month and half now. The whole time it has been touchy when using it. If it was not closed just right after a pour it would leak. It is so loose that it would often bounce back after closing the tap handle, causing the beer to spill out. I would then have to firmly press the tap back and let go gently for it to stay closed. This has been annoying, but it was tolerable for the low price of this tap.
Well, the other day I noticed the tap had a slow drip, and pressing back on the tap didn't help. So I placed a cup under the tap and walked away. This morning I noticed the cup was completely full. My kegerator also has a catch grate with a reservoir beneath to catch any spills. I check this also and it was completely full too. My keg was completely empty, and so was my CO2 tank. The faucet had been leaking so much that it emptied my keg and CO2 tank. Luckily I had enough room in the reservoir that the beer didn't leak all over my house.
Seriously, STAY AWAY from this tap. I should have just spend a little more money from the start and got a Perlick tap. Now I will buy one anyway. So I have now wasted the money for this tap, plus the money from wasted beer, plus the money from wasted CO2.
This tap is garbage and will not just get you by for a little while like I thought from the start.
This one is very well made and looks great. I like how the nut on top is roughened for finger tightening--I never used a wrench on my last one despite its being nut shaped.
