I can see that on the PS4, this game would be fantastic, but on the PS3, it is almost unplayable. The sound gets glitchy and does not match the game play; the textures are sloppy and result in some almost comical visual glitches, and the whole game freezes and makes me turn off my PS3 to get it running again. When the game is working right (which is rarely more than a half hour at a time), it is fun, and I like the war table system, but the game runs so poorly on the PS3 that I feel like a chump for dropping so much money on it.

Update: Since the most recent game updates, I have noticed much less freezing. The layers are still kind of wonky, but at least the game is playable now. It is actually a lot of fun to play. I guess it's my fault for being too cheap to buy a PS4, haha.

Overall as a Dragon Age fan I'm enjoying it and already on my second playthrough. My quick bits on this game.

Pro's:

-Open world, lot's to do.
-Solid Story: Since it's open world and you can do the Main Story at your own pace, there is A S*HT load of stuff you might end up skipping (even skipping entire areas). So my advice is read everything (if you hate reading then obviously don't do this lol) you come across and take your time. Finish areas before moving on to the next one. You may be stuck in the Hinterlands for hours lol but you'll get huge bits of back story. Talk to ALL YOUR CHARACTERS after every major event. When you finally finish the game the ending will be entirely complete and you'll know what the hell everyone is talking about at the end. BE WARNED: Beating the game will take probably 3 to 4 times as long if you do it this way. But it will be worth it. I skipped a lot during my first play through so my second play through is the completionist version. lol
-Great characters and dialogue (when has Dragon Age dialogue ever sucked?)
-Crafting is awesome fun and let's you control how powerful you get with less reliance on finding good gear. You can also use certain minerals to allow any class to wear any armor; for example your mage can wear Grey Warden Heavy armor. Like the good ol days of Arcane Warrior.
-Mounts
-Jumping. Remember jumping in Dragon Age Origins? Yea me either. This is epic in itself.
-Great music
-Fun fights with certain classes. I enjoy rogue the most for it's diversity. Knight Enchanter is pretty sweet even though you have 1 spell you spam.
-Great graphics. Some people can't be pleased so they complain. They look great to me.
-Judgments! I wish we had more people to judge in the game!

Graphics are horrible on the PS3. It looks nothing like the gameplay trailers and I was bitterly disappointed. I pre-ordered this game and feel cheated. I went back to DA2 for a little bit just to have a fresh comparison and the graphics on Inquisition are not as crisp as in the previous game. There is a shiny quality to almost everything and it's very hard to play for long periods. There are glitches galore and a choppiness to the gameplay. My character is running along and the trees are still trying to load.

I would say let this game drop way down in price before you decide to buy it for the PS3.

I was very excited for this game and am a huge fan of the series, but I have to saw I was disappointed by the drastic quality decrease between platforms. I feel like this console does not give the game justice for graphics and gameplay and came out feeling even more pressured to upgrade to a PS4.

Great game but, for PS3 is horrible. Worst graphics I ever seen.
If Bioware fix graphics I will give it more stars. I will never pre-order a game, I learned the lesson...

DO NOT BUY IT FOR PS3 OR XBOX360!

The game itself in what it offers is pretty good. Played about 15+ hours on it and here's my quick summary of it.
1. This game is obviously not meant for the ps3/xbox 360 generation. It really feels like they fit a huge ambitious project into something a little obsolete. If you ignore the cons of the game, you can tell lots of effort went into it. It's just the ps3 cant expound on that detail like the newer generation of systems.
2. The graphics will not be as pretty as one might've seen in a trailer. Ps3 does not make the graphics impressive by any means.
3. Framerate is horrible. Feels like playing a laggy pc game sometimes, and freezes sometimes as well. Froze on me a few times already.
4. Long load times. The environments are huge, so it's expected not to be super fast. But it literally has 2 loading screens back to back which take about at least 1 min. combined.

I dont want to go deep into it. But I still like it because I can tell that it's a big game that needs patience to go with the ps3 version. The combat is still interesting and fun. The story so far is not bad. It definitely is a lot bigger and expansive than any other DA game in the past. I would wish that this game was cheaper though. It's not a crisp smooth product, but rather a glitchy image of dragon age potential in which you must endure through the console freezing, ect. But again, I'm a patient person so it's ok. It hasnt become unplayable like skyrim and it's ever expanding memory data. :)
