Dragon Age Inquisition is a very well developed and immersive game with several innovative and thought out game play elements. Your characters dialog options are fully voiced and the characters and storyline are 5 star.

Where the game breaks down is on the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions. Be Warned!

The graphics are bad.

Reread the previous line and please understand I don't say this lightly. At best it is on par with a game written for the Nintendo Wii. They are bad to the point of actual distraction. Characters appear to have almost "lego like" hair and clipping issues with the models are numerous. In some scenes the brightness is so blown out that you can't make out whats going on. Even on the largest of television screens the text is somehow extremely difficult to read. Whats worse, if you happen to see the PS4 version you will cry as the difference is so pronounced it almost seems to be different game.

Freezing & Crashing
There are currently a few issues on the XBOX 360 and the PS3 with the game freezing up or not playing, however many of them are being addressed. On the whole this issue alone would not be enough to stop me from buying the game.

----
In closing, after playing through the first couple chapters I just can't continue. No one even likes watching the game because the rendering is so painfully bad. I'm going to take a bit of a loss and sell the game back to GameStop. When I get a PS4 I would will probably buy it again.

For now however I am very loyal, but very disappointed fan.

I pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Dragon Age Inquisition back in September, and was eager to play it after watching all the trailers and gameplay videos prior to launch. A week before the game was released, I read all these reviews saying the PS3 version was filled with glitches and lag and terrible graphics. I was nervous but thought it was likely just internet trolls out to hurt Bioware's reputation. Turns out the reviews were very much accurate, as the game honestly looks terrible and is filled with all sorts of technical issues. Coming from GTA 5, another huge open world game for PS3, I was shocked at just how bad the graphics in Dragon Age are given GTA is able to look amazing and run so smoothly. It is clear Bioware designed this game with next gen consoles in mind, then put extremely minimal effort into the last gen ports. What really pisses me off is that none of this was revealed beforehand. The trailers all feature gameplay from the next gen versions and the creators haven't even addressed just how bad the problems are. It's like EA wanted to squeeze out more sales by keeping customers ignorant to all of this versions flaws, then act as if nothing is wrong once people start complaining. Extremely greedy and shameful. The most frustrating part is that the story and gameplay actually seem quite good, it's just that the graphical glitches and poor textures are honestly too hard to overlook. I wouldn't mind as much if the game simply looked bad, but my version had this game-breaking glitch where textures beam off the characters faces and arms, making gameplay ridiculous. Have never in my 15 years of gaming been sold a product so broken and with its flaws so blatantly hidden during marketing. Shame on Bioware and EA.

I pre-ordered and was super excited to play this game but it is so buggy that it freezes and crashes the PS3 console.

Completely unplayable junk and a giant disappointment.

Shame on you EA and Bioware for releasing this before properly testing that it worked on the PS3.

I had such high hopes for this game...
After spending the required time making my character, onto the game! first cutscene! and that's where the trouble started, the graphics started hiccupping, the voice started to get choppy, so did the music, well, I thought, maybe a minor glitch, we can do this!
Not so, the textures take a long time to appear or don't appear at all, you are left surrounded with unidentifiable blotches that may or may not resolve into actual textures, that makes it difficult to figure what the hey is going on, if to that you add the tiny font (yes, I have an HDTV, no, it's not too small or too big and has the proper cable connections) and hard to see things like -of all things- chests and materials, well, it ain't pretty. Or a good experience. A few cutscene later one of the persons in it completely disappeared while still talking to me, yep, getting worse.
The gameplay? as it was on Origins, that's good, the battles? either button mash or one long button press, not very fun; granted, I didn't get much into designing the battle action for everyone, possibly because I had a terrible trouble reading them, and while we are at it, the menus are labyrinths, they do take a while to get used to it.
And it's just a sloppy game, people disappearing into walls and staying there, I kid you not, a soldier who's head was sticking out of a low wall, NPCs randomly appearing or disappearing around you, your team doing the weirdest things like walking up to the top of tents, jumping of and walking back up there again (??) a pixelated bright line appearing on some places.
Badly made game, in the end, it's just a bad, defective product, I know that as a gamer I'm supposed to be incredibly patient, understanding and forgiving, well, not any more, this is ridiculous, I hear the game makes consoles crash and freeze, well, I'm stopping playing (and giving it back for a refund).
EA/Bioware and I are done.
