I loved the Happy Ending. So surprised and happy with Ms. Chase's imagination and writing.
The entire story is told from Emma's point of view, as she and Darton try to learn from the mistakes of their past lives. They also finally address their feelings, admitting to each other what they have been avoiding in the previous two books. As the plot unfolds, mysteries are revealed and loose ends are neatly tied up in this conclusion to the Legends Reborn trilogy. Eva Chase creates characters that evoke our nostalgic love of the King Arthur legend, but also are fully developed modern people in their current incarnation. Highly recommended.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this novel.
The Darkest One was released in Book 2 and is now forging a path of destruction on her way to get to Darton to unleash the terror within.
There is so much happening and so many emotions boiling over - not just for the characters but the invested reader also. And invested is what you become of the creative Eva Chase's fantastic world! You can feel Emma each time she seeks to find and understand the darkness within her king' soul. And the emotions off both when The King finally acknowledges his true feelings for Merlin - I couldn't stop the flood of tears!
This is an awesome culmination of Legends Reborn. You definitely want to start with Book 1 to be able to fully appreciate the storyline. But if ever there was a series to 1-clik, I think this is it. Do it and you will soon find yourself entranced with this fantastic tale. Bravo Eva!

Emma and Darton have ended up outside of Boston having barely escaped The Darkest One in England. Now they have to make their way back to their house with no money or even an operable cell phone. Fortunately Emma's parents live nearby and they are able to get them back. Even worse then being far from home, Emma's oath to end Darton's life throws a hell of a wrench into their lives. She must be very careful to keep herself from fulfilling the oath. Pain seems to help and so does passion. Hmm.
Their friends will show back up to help them, and even a bunch of the Dark Fae hunters will lend a hand. Before it is all over, everything will change.
I am not going to spoil the book for you. I would recommend you read the other two books in the series first in order to follow the story. Enjoy.
Ok, our gal Emma Hale may be a reborn Wizard and all, but my oh my does she ever have her plate full.
• defeat the greatest of dark fae
• do that before it turns her king - and lover - freaking Arthur (reborn but still, it’s Arthur!) into its greatest weapon (note to self: centuries old curses laid on one’s lover are a bad thing)
• as the dark fae (aka the Darkest One) gets closer, fight the compulsion to kill Arthur herself thanks to the oath she took in exchange for the light fae's help
Don’t worry though, our Emma will pull things off - and do so in grand style.
