None the less, a delightful read, compelling new characters, and I would love to see more of them.
They "cross over" into (co-author) Elisabeth Waters' world, which has apparently kept this from being published in a Lackey collection. It would have fit right into the Oathblood story collection as a snack. The valdemar.wikia discusses it in detail. The action is light and short - but the post-action is pure Tarma and Kethry, again. It had a giggle or two and I was satisfied to see our duo in action one more time.
I wish that it had been longer, and had gone into more detail. I think this could have made a good novella if not a full novel if it were expanded.
Anyone who is not an ardent fan of BOTH authors should avoid this story.
