I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
Gavra, Assana and Silas are at the center of Book 4. These fated mates from different races, long to complete their bond, but know they must concentrate on the greater good first. It was truly torture for the virgin nymph Assana, the waiting literally drove her to the brink of insanity.
This installment has several gasp worthy twists...
Has Nikhil finally redeemed himself?
What is the enemy plotting in that secret facility?
What of Aodh?
I love that Ophelia Bell writes the dragon menages hot, hot, hot...so hot they burn up the pages, but their stories are so intricately woven into the plot line that they only add to the brilliant entertainment that is this Immortal Dragons series. The first four books have been bundled...I highly recommend you don't miss this series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of Dragon Rebel.
There is one set of characters that the story revolves around, but all the characters from the previous stories have a big part in it. We get to continue to see the previous characters relationships grow and see some of what may come in future books. The story is very in depth and gets intense at times. It isn't just about sex and mating, but thankfully those scenes are plentiful and great. Ophelia keeps writing books they will have you begging for the next one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
Well this was another exciting addition to this already exhilarating series. Though I was left with some questions regarding several characters, I was pleased at the story's outcome.
I said it before and I'll say it again, Nyx is freaking crazy. I swear if I didn't know that she was acting out of some sense of intense loyalty to the Haven, I would have sworn she was under the Lamia's spell. That woman has lost her ever loving mind and I can't help but think how disappointed her long lost husband will be if he ever makes it back home. In a sense I understand where she's coming from, it's the how she went about it that rubs me the wrong way. I just hope what Gavra did to her doesn't cause any permanent damage, I think she's suffered enough, but only time will tell.
Gavra, Silas and Assana's relationship..well hell I though that would never happen, with so many obstacles in their way, primarily Nyx. It was tense reading this story, not knowing what was going to happen, I feel like if every time these three took one positive step forward, they were thrown three negative steps back, I almost lost hope, but Silas actually turned out to be pretty bad ass, even if Gavra was the almighty red dragon. All three fit perfectly well together. All three were great characters.
Now I'm curious to know where the hell Nyx sent Aodh, is he retrievable? How will his absence affect his relationship with Vrishti? Also, whatever happened to Nyx's twin, Neph? After helping Calder and them, he disappeared...strange. Will Nyx's mate ever return? Last...WTF is Calder thinking?!!!! (For those who have read the book...y'all undersdtand what my question means!)
Here's looking forward to the next book!
