What a ride! This is my first read by C.A. Rene and it won't be the last. As soon as I finished this one I went and pre-ordered book 2. I cannot wait to read it! Genevieve (Genni, V) is an amazing character. She's fierce, outspoken, feisty, and beautiful. She's betrayed, broken, and reborn. She's a badass! Swoon-worthy heroes, Diego and Malik, are incredibly written characters. Sizzling chemistry that burns up the pages. I absolutely loved this book. It was nothing like I expected but everything I needed. 5 stars. A fantastic read!

Jeager and Quinton better be on their toes as they won’t know what hits them! The prologue starts in the present and the first chapter takes us back 6 months to the events leading up to that point. In those 6 months, Genni experiences heartbreak and tr@um@ and has to become strong enough to overcome the challenges and disappointment life has thrown her way. Not to mention the danger. I can’t wait to see how everything plays out.

Genni is the daughter of the Steel Dragons MC president Victor Varga. Victor has a vision for the future of his MC but is keeping it to himself until all his pieces are in place. Genni is the queen on this chess board and he must prepare her for when the time comes where he is no longer on that board.
Genni is young, treated like a Princess and is in no way ready for what her dad has planned.
Her stepbrother Jaeger has been made VP of the Steel Dragons just one step away from what he has dreamed of since he was 14yrs old. When he over hears a conversation between Genni and their dad he is overcome with bitterness, anger and instead of confronting them he concocts his own plan. One that will set catastrophic reactions into play.
Genni must face betrayal by ones she called family, kidnapping and sexual assault. Learning to place her trust in someone new isn’t going to be easy especially when he’s part of the rival MC.

This was a dark and twisted story that will have you torn in different directions. I’m not sure how I feel about the characters involved. Genni was betrayed by one person but is planning to take down the whole MC that she grew up with, they don’t know the whole story and she doesn’t have the whole story.
I will patiently be waiting for the next book in this series.

I love all of C.A.Renes books and the MC trope is one of my favourites so was excited to see this. There’s a whole lot of other interest here, the stepbrother, the betrayal and fighting between rival clubs. Not sure anyone really has our FMC Genni’s well being in mind but she’s heel bent on getting her revenge on her old club. Interesting to see where the story goes, there are several groups all with their own agenda which is making for a fascinating story. I always love a woman wronged who gets her revenge and Jaeger is someone who definitely needs to feel her wrath. An exciting start to a new series.

OMG!! This book is fantastic ! The story is a dark, very dark one, and you will need a strong stomach. What the DLC goes through, is horrendous, but it takes a while to get there. When it does thiugh! Omg! That poor woman!! You'll be urging her on, and hoping she'll find the heroes she so desperately needs to help. Then it full steam ahead with her vengence, it's glorious!! It ends on a cliffhanger, but I think it's already out, so you don't have to wait for the next part!!
