That evening, four dragons flew into the courtyard. The eldest, uncle to the other three, had something important to discuss. Their Uncle Icarus told them that the humans were going to reconstruct things and might end up damaging their sacred tomb areas underneath. Icarus could not hold the humans off anymore and wanted to pass the leadership to one of the three young dragons. That dragon would become Alpha and would need to marry and produce an heir within one year. The dragons would think about this and meet again in a week. Galen held back as the others left, and he heard rocks falling and a small yelp. Someone was here!
Alexis had slipped on the rocks and Galen pulled her back on her feet. He knew she heard the dragons’ earlier conversation. His uncle, still flying above, spoke into their minds that this was the opportunity they needed. Galen was the best choice for Alpha. Alexis, a distant relative of the original man who had discovered and restructured the palace, could marry Galen. Together they could challenge the government to stop any restoration project that would be damaging to the palace. Could they pull this off? Could they convince people of their relationship and their fake marriage? Could Galen challenge his brother for the Alpha position? So much was resting on their success. And could they then both casually walk away?
This was a good story that will hold the readers’ interest. It had the feel of a fairy tale, with dragons and palaces and the hope of a happily-ever-after. It was fun and very enjoyable. I highly recommend it!
The h is working on her Doctorate in Archaeology at a dig in Greece. But, things aren't going as planed.....the government was pushing for more of this site to be restored so that more tourists would visit. There is something strange about the painting on the walls of the temple. Her ancester change the look of the painted dolphins, or are they?
Read to find out what happens. Can't wait to see if there will be books about the other two brothers. I voluntarily reviewed this advaced reader copy and this review is my own opinion.
The H is a water dragon shifter, a billionaire and one of three brothers. The Palace of Knossos is Crete's number one tourist attraction, where the archaecology dig is taking place and it also happens to be the resting place of the ancients. The H can't allow this to happen again.
