"The snark and sass between Dex and Faye is hilarious....Fernando’s launch of her Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series is plenty steamy. For fans of Kristin Ashley, Julie Ann Walker, and Joanna Wylde, and those who are heartbroken that television’s Sons of Anarchy has ended." (Booklist Online)
"Chantal Fernando knows how to draw you in and keep you hooked. Dragon’s Lair is a biker book unlike any other, proving a bad ass chick can tame even the wildest of men. A heroine for the strong-willed women and an MC of hot bikers not to be missed." (-Angela Graham, New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author )

The two grow apart and Faye ends up dating Dex's younger brother until Faye catches him having sex with another woman, ending their relationship. Later that night, she gets dressed up and goes to a bar wanting to have someone come on to her and surprisingly runs into Dex.
Passion ignites between the two leaving her pregnant with Dex's child. She runs when her parents find out and throw her out of the house unless she gets an abortion, which she has no intention of doing. However when Dex learns Faye is pregnant via his Mom gossiping about the breakup and Dex's brother being upset, he puts two and two together and realized she is pregnant and on the run with his baby.
Dex chases her down, bringing her back to his MCC's clubhouse to live with him. The fun really begins then as Faye tries to adapt to a foreign world with different lifestyles and treatment toward women.
The romance is written beautifully, not to mention the drama from living with bikers at their clubhouse, other rival MCC's, violence, feuding women, biker fights, and it all ends up to be a fantastic story I loved!
I can't wait to read more about this MC and it's members. The different stories to wait for in the next book were foreshadowed giving the readers something to ponder on how they will work out. I recommend reading this series because if book one is any indication, we're all in for one hell of a ride!
Also- what lawyers do you know get their law degree completely with online classes??? Especially the further into the program they are? I have plenty of friends who went through law school and intense and time consuming and involves a lot of group work and it just didn't work for me. If this were AFTER she had the degree and maybe was inbetween jobs it would work, but in school to be a lawyer? Big NO.
Anyway, excited to read the next one.
But what makes this book different is the plot is well developed, the characters are likable and memorable. I really like the heroine a lot. She was feisty, independent and took absolutely no stuff off of her hunky biker and his colleagues. The depiction of their falling in love wasn't rushed and it was very realistic. Great love scenes too but what probably really made me like this book was the heroine's quirky sense of humor. The book also features several secondary characters whose story I can't wait to read.

This is Faye's story and she has loved Dex since she was a little girl. But life changes and she then starts dating his brother. Faye discovers her boyfriend is cheating when she walks in to find her best friend with him. She then runs into Dex and decides to throw caution to the wind and have her one night with her childhood love Dex. This results in her getting pregnant. Her parents through her out and Dex finds out and he is ready to accept his responsibilities.
They say death is easy, it’s living that’s hard. I love my life, and I wouldn’t say it was hard. But I understand when they say death is easy, because those people who pass away don’t have to live with the sadness and the pain of losing someone.
There was so many points in this book where I was laughing out loud, that’s always a good thing in my opinion. The funny and the serious... makes a book go from good to excellent for me. This is one hot read and I couldn't put it down. Would highly recommend picking up one of Chantal's books. I've gone straight into the next book in the series.
It's a little bit gritty, but it's not mired in darkness.
The biker bad boy is a little bit moody and broody, but he's all squishy in the inside for his girl and his girl is a firecracker with a brain.
I didn't like how Faye and Dex came together as adults (he picked her up a couple of days after she dumped his brother for cheating on her) but I loved them as a couple.
I loved their history and I loved their chemistry.
They were sweet and sexy and a lot of fun to read about.
Faye is not the type of girl you'd expect to become a biker's old lady but she quickly fit right in and the bonds she built with the rest of the brothers was a highlight for me.
As a whole, the book was far from perfect. The characters could have done with some fleshing out and the plotline and execution could have been less messy but it was entertaining enough that it didn't bother me as much as it probably should have.
I liked the men of the Wind Dragon's MC and I want to read more about them.
I'd like to read more about what makes them tick and I want to see them get their HEAs!
If future books in the series could come with a bit more substance then that'd be the cherry on the cake for me but I'm going to keep reading regardless!
I really did like this, but in all honesty it read a bit like "Carry on Biker"
However, it was enjoyable and as long as you do not take it so seriously then it is a fun read.
Faye was funny, sarcastic and had a tendency to speak before she thought. I did like her, but at times it felt like that was all she was, all there was too her.
Would have liked more from Dex and more from the actual MC side of things.
However, it had a great cast of secondary characters, who you just hope get their own books - like Arrow for one.
Overall, it was a good read, however, it never got too in depth with anything. A fair few months pass in the book, and a lot happens, but it never got too detailed. It felt almost at times, like reading a list of things that should happen in an MC book.
I found myself wanting more, more about her relationship with her parents, and some closure on that, more from their past history as kids (she is twenty) and though it is mentioned she had a crush on him, he was always too old for her, it never says how old she is, wanted more closure with her ex.
But, overall, it is a non taxing, light enjoyable read that can pass a couple of hours, and leave you wanting to read more of the brothers of the MC.

This story is about Dex and Faye. Dex is not your typical jerk male in a book, he is still very controlling and dominating, but still holds that little adorable touch that softens his bad boy biker image just a tad for us. While Faye, she is on the run. Very much has her own mind and definitely not going down without a fight. Her ex is Dex's brother.. which could make things awkward when you then throw another spanner in the works. Throughout the book you have that inkling that something is not right, and when you find out, its a shocker! Will they sort out their differences and make it? You'll have to read to find out!
If you love biker stories - like me! Then you will definitely want to get this story. It is fast paced, has shocking plot twists and really relatable characters that you love immediately. Hoping for the next installment for this series.. Arrow, hint hint ;)
