"Chantal has a magical way with Alpha males. This book has great chemistry and intrigue. I was swept up in the storyline." (-Pepper Winters, NYT & USA Today Best Selling author)
"The snark and sass between Dex and Faye is hilarious....Fernando’s launch of her Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series is plenty steamy. For fans of Kristin Ashley, Julie Ann Walker, and Joanna Wylde, and those who are heartbroken that television’s Sons of Anarchy has ended." (Booklist Online)
"Chantal Fernando knows how to draw you in and keep you hooked. Dragon’s Lair is a biker book unlike any other, proving a bad ass chick can tame even the wildest of men. A heroine for the strong-willed women and an MC of hot bikers not to be missed." (-Angela Graham, New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author)

Well, that is until she finds out she's pregnant. There's no way it's Eric's baby because they weren't having sex at the time they broke up and the only man she's slept with recently is his brother Dex. Her parents don't care that she's pregnant, they want nothing to do with her forcing her to leave by nightfall the day they discover she's pregnant. Wanting to get away from Eric and not daring to tell Dex that she's pregnant, she leaves town and doesn't look back. Well, she doesn't get far because Dex finds her and drags her back to the Wind Dragons MC clubhouse. 'Sin' as he's now known is the VP of the Wind Dragons and wants to protect the family that he now has, but his obligations to the MC also fall on to his plate.
As Faye tries to find her place within the women of the MC and tries to find out her role in Dex's life, she must decide if her place is with Dex or if she should try to leave town again. When his past comes back, is this something they can get passed or will it be the things that tears them apart?
This was a great story. I should warn you this isn't a "dark" novel. If you think that's what you are going to get, you aren't going to get it. If you are looking for a love story, that's what you are going to get. I loved Dex and Faye. They weren't your typical couple and they didn't go into this thinking they were ever going to get one night alone together let alone end up living together. This was a great first novel in this series, and I look forward to the other books that are going to be coming up in the future. This is my first time reading one of Chantal's novels, it won't be my last one. This is a 5 star read and worth every penny I paid for it.
But what makes this book different is the plot is well developed, the characters are likable and memorable. I really like the heroine a lot. She was feisty, independent and took absolutely no stuff off of her hunky biker and his colleagues. The depiction of their falling in love wasn't rushed and it was very realistic. Great love scenes too but what probably really made me like this book was the heroine's quirky sense of humor. The book also features several secondary characters whose story I can't wait to read.
Dex equals alpha. This man plays no games and he always gets what he wants. Faye is feisty. This woman will test the strongest man's tolerance and then push even further. He pushes, she pulls. She runs, he chases. This is dirty talker meets sassy pants. This is love.
"I love his expressions, the sounds he makes, the dirty way he talks to me. The way he takes joy in my pleasure. His bossiness and his demands. I give as good as I get. I match his passion and his intensity. He was made for me, this man."
Whether they are together or treading the waters trying to figure out exactly what they are one thing is for sure, their chemistry is one that you will long and wish for. They just fit and there is no doubt in your mind that these two beautifully made characters are utter perfection. I found myself enthralled in their banter, the inside jokes, and childhood moments these two shared.
This is a fast paced novel that draws you in until you have devoured every page. I loved that any issues these two characters faced was resolved rather quickly, but what I loved the most was her characters as a whole and their relationships with one another. Her characters, main and secondary will steal your heart as they pull you into their world, making you an honorary Wind Dragon!
If you are looking for a gritty, dirty, hardcore MC book, this is NOT it. Dragon's Lair is about an MC, but it's a much softer story than what you might think.
I actually really enjoyed this book. It captured my attention from the very beginning and held it all the way through. The heroine, Faye, rocked. She was a strong leading lady with a witty sense of humor and wasn't afraid to say what she was thinking. She learned her place quickly in the MC world and it worked for her!
Dex, oh man, he was perfect. He was a strong alpha, but he also had a really strong heart!
The two of them started out as a one night stand, but soon they became so much more!
This was a solid 4 star read for me. It was the first book in the series, but ends without a cliffy. Chantal really set us up for all the characters in this series and I'm so excited to meet more of The Dragon's. Especially Arrow!
Great book Chantal!
