Dragon's Luck is enticing, grabbing, and over-all higher than any of my expectations. When I read books I have a high to medium expectation for each ingredient of a book: plot, characters, characterization, description, fiction or non-fiction logic, and equalizing parts of action, mystery, and suspense. Every single one of these catagories was completely shell shocked. The plot had no "beating around the bush" one thing after another, no boring parts. The characters were all perfect for their role and not one of the characters felt added in for no reason, but because the authur was bored of actually writing. The descriptions gave Dragon's Luck a quality that only the best of writers can achieve. The logic was completely likely for a non-fiction book, too often writers use the non-fiction title to a book as an excuse to have no logic on any piece of literature. The equalizing parts were to the scale balanced, and kept me on my feet and prancing the entire time. Dragon's Luck is a historic event in my "take with me all my days" book time line, and I'm only 13. I recommend this piece of art to any one with the love of the divine non-fiction bookly words.
When I read the sample for this on the bus to work, the first couple pages were slow going through quick sand, then the pieces started falling into place, and I almost missed my bus stop. Now I remember the joy I had envisioning other authors' made up worlds. It is a nice change from the hum-drum of my real world.
I will be reading this author's other works. Hopefully on my Kindle.
SL Rottman wove an amazing story! NO DOUBT adults & teens alike will lose themselves into the story. I hated to take breaks & I couldn't wait to come back to the story!! I loved the story of Saeb & Galanth!! The twists & turns of the plot, as the Prophecy is revealed was enthralling! I could so easily visualize all of the sights & sounds! I cannot WAIT for Dragon's Lore!! An amazing & fun story!!!
