This book is about a human woman, Kayla Cooper, who is crazy about Roland Voros up to the point where she finds out he is a dragon shifter.

Kayla is working her on her doctorate degree at a university in New Zealand when she meets the rich Roland at her lab. He immediately has his eye on her for a possible mistress and makes arrangements to ensure she is being paid for her research. Can't have his mistress working part-time at a bar, after all. He has to be very careful that the Dragon Lord of the Tasman Islands does not catch him trying to seduce Kayla. Watatoni Te Kanewa is a traditionalist and his dragons are not allowed to even touch their possible mates until they prove themselves capable of not touching them.

Find out what happens when Kayla wakes up to find herself a dragoness in bed with a dragon. On top of that she ends up pregnant and refuses to let him back into her life. Watatoni is only going to let that slide for a short time. When Roland's enemies find out about his unclaimed mate it will only be a matter of time before they try to snatch her for their own. He is never going to let that happen.

What a phenomenal read this is, it's a another Magnificent series that I have read of Isadora Montrose. I am fast becoming a book stalker of Isadora Montrose. Book 2 is about Roland and Kayla, Kayla Cooper is a very young and innocent as a matter of fact she is the youngest in her class going for her doctoral of Marine Biology. Roland Voros is a Billionaire Dragon Lord and he wanted Kayla from the start. I love reading their story. Of course who would think Kayla would be a virgin, but it's just like a Billionaire to want a mistress not a wife.These characters are captivating, lovable, gorgeous and just the kind of characters I love to read. This a paranormal romance thriller with attitude!

She is his destined mate but she does not want to be a dragon. She would like to be wanted for herself not as a potential breeder. Roland handles everything in the worst possible way. Then Kayla finds herself pregnant.
This was a a good story. Loved the Maori connection. I will certainly read more in this series!

As always Isadora Montrose writes a griping story that is hard to put down. I love the reaction when Kayla wakes up and is as she put it a scaly lizard. It is only possible for a virgin to be transformed into a dragoness. It never crossed Roland's mind that a woman in her twenty's having gone to collage and living with room mates who slept around that she could be untouched. I has not understanding of modern women, he thinks she should be happy to be a dragoness and a baroness with a ton of money. She runs away from him and finds a job elsewhere and a chance to rent a room with 2 guys who are deeply in love. When Roland finds her she doesn't believe him when he tells her she is pregnant and tells him she is having an affair with her too room mates. It just gets better after this but you will have to reed the story to find out the rest.
