Wow - so many things were happening at the same time the poor girl must have wondered what else could have gone wrong. However never to be beaten, she used intelligence and logic to tackle everything that needed attention and worked her way through the list. It was lovely to see how her men supported her through everything that was happening as well as the way they supported each other. I loved the way the story developed and moved between all the problems. It was so nice to read about such a strong woman that really was trying to do the right thing but was just being attacked by other people left, right and centre. I loved the way the story finished and really hope these two authors work together again on another epic story. It was well written and I could feel, empathise and understand everything. I definitely found myself reading faster as the story developed - I need to know what was happening next or who the mysterious person framing her.
But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - this book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend.
This ended with a bang. And you totally feel for that wolf and what he was forced to do. Anthony to me had the toughest ending with his dad. Poor guy and you just feel for him and seeing what he had to go through and how far his dad took things was just so sad.But the heartwarming part to Anthony’s story in this book was that for him peace, love and his brotherhood with Tina’s other lovers who were kings for their people was important. He didn’t waver from what he believed in and he stuck to his guns in the end even if it broke his heart with what he might lose.
This story was more action packed than the others. We have everything coming to a head and so much emotion for the men. They are now on personal journeys that Tina could not help with. They needed to come to terms with what was happening and what they were about to do. Fortunately for them their fates were not as they feared. Three of them had very positive results and had received a closeness with family they hadn’t expected.
Our romance area was just as smoking as ever with Tina and her men but the brotherhood between her men grew into a more cohesive and loving bond. They understood one another, supported one another and were there for each other. Each had their own strengths and the others respected and honored those strengths while lending a hand when it was needed. They really helped each other with their final journey they faced in this book. This was something Tina couldn’t do because she really couldn’t understand what they were feeling or going through.
The ending to this series was really good. You loved this group and where they were headed. YOu love the fact that they are thinking of peace and prosperity for their people and not about power and greed. They loved one another and created a harmony amongst one another and a family. YOu are brought into the action with the descriptions and rooted for them to win in the end. A great ending to a good series.
However, they cannot do it alone, they need allies...
My take on the book:
Ohhhh I liked this one much better than the previous :D
While there wasn't much character development going on, we got to see and experience more of their relationship with their fathers, the Kings.
It was a story full of the possibility of redemption, some vengeance and thankfully a lot less sex (I really cant believe I'm saying that).
Granted, this book was all about the feels, but still... not in a bad way.
The connection the princes have with Tina finally got to the point of being a deep loving relationship.
Flow and pacing was decent, everything got said and resolved in some way or the other without it feeling too rushed but sometimes it felt like it was over way too fast and other times it just took forever (but that might have just been me though).
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and all in all it was a nice and entertaining series. If you're in need of a finished RH series with a diverse cast (gods/goddesses, demigods and shifters) with quite a lot of sex (book 2) than this might be one for you!
