Another unique feature of this book is it reflects enormous credibility. Between them, the authors have worked closely with large companies and small companies, but in nearly every paragraph you find yourself thinking..."wow, I've seen that...." So it's not amorphous or hypothetical. It's the real deal.
I read it myself last week and just purchased a copy for everyone on my staff. We are going to do an exercise that allows small groups to come to a team meeting in each of the four personas -- Cynic, Caretaker, Complainer, and Controller. Oh, that should be fun!
It has very practical advice on how to deal with the four drama roles that people tend to get caught up in.
The book is well organized, well written, accessible, and prepares you to implement the outlined strategy immediately. Highly recommend.
I will use what I learned with a current client. VERY HELPFUL.
Gave me some great questioning technique ideas too.
