From the Back Cover
The Bible is full of questions asked by God, Jesus, ordinary people, Satan, and even a donkey. Some are questions that we wrestle with but are reluctant to voice. Others are asked to comfort, to convict, or to reinforce spiritual principles.
With Drawing Closer to God, you'll uncover amazing and insightful spiritual truths from 365 of these questions. Each devotional includes Scripture and a question designed to encourage reflection and prayer, leaving you with practical takeaway for your day and a renewed appreciation for God's Word.

The only thing I dislike is that she uses many different Bible translations when quoting the verses at the bottom. This concerned me at first, when I first got the book. I wasn't sure if the author would have the Biblical doctrine straight. Fortunately, I've been going to church long enough and studied my King James Bible long enough to learn so much about the Lord and His Word, that I've been able to figure out if certain authors of certain books really know what they're talking about when it comes to the Bible.
This author is exactly on, doctrinally. I know that the King James Bible is the true Word of God, but I didn't let that bother me when using this devotional book. She does not actually quote any scripture except for a last, extra, verse at the very bottom of each page. So I just look up that verse in my own Bible instead. I also use my own Bible to read the scripture that she has suggested to read, so I've been able to personalize it to me very well and still be able to get something out of it every day.
Another nice feature is that there are 365 daily devotionals, they are labeled with the month and date in which you should read them, but there is no year labeled with it...so it could definitely be read again year after year if desired.
I've been doing these daily devotionals for about 8 months now and still looking forward to reading the rest. I do them in the mornings while I'm eating my oatmeal, and it takes me anywhere from 5-10 minutes, if that sometimes.
I would highly recommend this book to any Christian out there who is looking for what I was looking to get out of a devotional book...regardless of what denomination you are, because as I said, she has the doctrine straight. And she uses Biblical doctrine to help you make a change in your life to be more like Christ...not necessarily to "school" you on a Bible lesson like you would get in Sunday school.
