Editorial Reviews

After a limited release more than a decade ago, Drawing Flies finally makes its return in a beautiful, new, widescreen, high definition transfer and restoration from original film elements (which were thought to be lost and gone forever). Executive Produced by Kevin Smith (Clerks, Red State) and Scott Mosier (Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back), Drawing Flies is the debut film from directors Malcolm Ingram (Bear Nation, Continental) and Matt Gissing (producer of Ingram's Small Town Gay Bar).

The film reunites much of the casts of Smith's Mallrats and Chasing Amy including Jason Lee (''My Name is Earl''), Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back), Renee Humphrey (French Kiss) and Carmen Lee (Never Been Kissed) (with cameo appearances from Scott Mosier (Clerks), Ethan Suplee (''My Name is Earl''), Joey Lauren Adams (Big Daddy) and Kevin Smith himself as ''Silent Bob'').

Drawing Flies tells the story of Donner (Lee), the unofficial leader of a troupe of slackers who've just been kicked off of welfare. Donner convinces his friends that what they need to turn their lives around is a camping trip; but as they go deeper and deeper into the wilderness, Donner's behavior grows increasingly erratic, eventually revealing to the group that his ''visions'' have put him on a quest to find Bigfoot.

SPECIAL FEATURES: Includes the original 2002 Audio Commentary Track featuring Directors Malcolm Ingram, Matt Gissing, Kevin Smith, Scott Mosier along with cast Members Jason Lee, Jason Mewes, Renee Humphrey, and Carmen Lee. Also includes Bloopers / Outtakes / Deleted Scenes, the original 2002 Special Introduction by Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier and a new 2013 introduction by Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, Interview with Jason Mewes, trailers for other Smodcast projects and much more!

Damn it! I just love the 1990's and being young. Screw it, I was born in the 50's for crying out loud but this id the best of both worlds. Jason Lee is searching for Bigfoot and the film is in B&W. See, what the film does not address is that Big Foot is a 5'7'' insurance agent living in Wisconsin!
