Once again, an author of the Woodland Creek Series does not let me down! This was a very sweet story, that in a lot of ways brought me back to my early twenties, and those feelings you get when you meet your first real love – and especially appreciate it when you’ve spent way too much time on someone that shows the exact opposite of love, which is exactly what Kerri did in this story.

However, when Kerri got to Woodland Creek, I liked that the author didn’t make her instantly fall head over heels literally the second she entered Woodland Creek and met Warren. It wasn’t instant break up, leave town, fall in love. Although she ‘accidentally’ met Warren right away, and they were instantly attracted to each other, there was still a very sweet time frame where he just sat back and waited for her previous douche bag to completely leave her life and her heart.

And by the way, I think the author did use ‘douche bag’ and several other hilarious descriptions for her ex, and descriptions that Warren and his cousin used on each other. It added to the fun of the book, how the two of them and Kerri’s instant BFF/roommate at college (who also knew Warren and his cousin since they were kids) joked around with each other -- and definitely helped Kerri a bunch more when things got real about Woodland Creek.

Although there were some tense moments, this wasn’t meant to be an action-packed book. It was about early twenty-somethings going to college, one in a whole new town, finding themselves and each other. There were definitely some heart-racing in a sexy way scenes, but well placed, and I loved them. I really enjoyed this book and getting to know these characters.

Kerri came from a family that just didn't think she amounted to much . She had a boyfriend that used her as a house cleaner, babysitter of his son and a door mat. He didn't love her, he was just a user.
So when your not happy with your life you change it and off to a college and teaching job in another city
Her move to Woodland Creek (a town full if shifter the humans know nothing about) was not as smooth as she hoped. She got into a car wreck and had to be saves landing in the arms of the sweetest shifter around . It was the first of many amazing changes to her life.
I am a first time reader for M. C. Cerny. I got to say I love her writing. The storyline is great, the characters are fantastic and there is action and drama what more could you want.
ThevBook is written in the first person if that's helps any. I really enjoyed this story
Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

What a great story! The hero is so dang lovable and sweet and honest--even if he is hiding a few things from his heroine. :) I recommend this wonderful novella to anyone who likes paranormal. It's a very sweet story of two people finding their way through life and toward each other, with all the twist that being a shifter can bring.

Well done!

This one was a favorite! Kerry came from an abusive relationship and a crappy family. She finally gets herself together enough and takes a position teaching and fulfilling her dream of becoming a teacher. She got accepted into the program at the college in Woodland Creek, but she needs to live on campus and teach while she does it. So, after a horrible incident with the abuser, she takes off to Woodland Creek. And she crashes her car in the rain, and it's a crazy storm, and she's being flooded inside of her car. Her rescuer, Warren, is a shifter, and an EMT. He is called to her site, but he finds once he touches her, he doesn't want to let her go. And she's human, and they don't know about the shifter world, so it's complicated. I loved how the story turned out, though it got bumpy for both of them. I loved the romance, the action, the suspense, and I especially loved the HEA. I wasn't sure how it was going to play out but I'm pumped up with how it did. It was a fantastic story and I loved it. The writing was fantastic and I will be looking at this author's other works as well! 5 PAWS!!

This is a book from the Woodland Creek series and so far I have loved every book I've read in this series! This is Kerri and Warren's story and I found it to be a highly entertaining and interesting love story. The chemistry between these two is intense and they are a great fit for each other. This is the first book I've read by this author and it definitely won't be the last! I highly recommend this to anyone and I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Kerri is in a relationship where the child walks all over her as much as the man she’s dating does. Pushed into being a full time caregiver she can never do anything right and instead of being happy she’s miserable. After being turned down for school by several she’s shocked to get an acceptance letter which gives her everything she needs to get out of her toxic relationship. A new start with a chance at a new future how could it possibly go wrong. Ready to make a run for it Kerri heads off to Woodland Creek for a new start but the rain is so bad she ends up wrecking.

Thankfully the citizen of Woodland Creek aren’t all human and the locals are able to save her before anything to bad can happen but her car is missing a door. Warren can’t deny that he’s drawn to Kerri in a way he’s never been before, and can’t seem to let her go. While shifters typically don’t date humans Warren is about to change the go against the pack plan and fall for Kerri. However how will Kerri deal with the fact Warren isn’t as human as she thought.

I found myself connecting with Kerri a lot more than I expected because we both had a very similar toxic relationship. Thankfully she gets the chance she needs to get away from her now ex to start over being able to do what she wants to be happy as well as find someone who loves her for her. I love Warren he’s not your typical shifter he’s super adorable with his shifting issues and the fact that he wasn’t a player like his cousin I found appealing. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two it was sweet yet steamy.

I’ve been burning through the Woodland Creek series what’s not to love about 30 unique shifter novels by 30 unique authors most of which I haven’t read before.
