Jackie Evancho's Dream With Me In Concert is the perfect video companion to her chart-topping album, Dream With Me, which was produced by the legendary David Foster.
David Foster has worked with the biggest names in music, including Beyoncé, Prince, Josh Groban and Celine Dion, but he admits that Jackie's talent astonished him. "Her natural ability and the depth of her understanding of the musical process left me speechless," he says. Foster has mentored Jackie and appears on Dream With Me In Concert as the show's host.
The concert was recorded inside and on the grounds of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida, which includes the stunning mansion Ca' d'Zan, known as the last of the Gilded Age mansions built in America. Ringling was the impresario behind the iconic Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. "This is a big, beautiful place," said Jackie after she toured the grounds. "My favorite part is the Peter Paul Rubens [art] gallery," where she performed the haunting song "Dark Waltz" accompanied only by Foster on piano and Conrad Tao on violin -- and surrounded by four of Rubens' largest, and most striking, canvases.
The CD/DVD combo package features two songs ( Mi Mancherai and To Believe ) that were filmed during the live concert but not included in the PBS show. Bonus features on the DVD include an interview with Jackie and David Foster as well as a photo gallery.

One should also know before listening and watching "Dream With Me" that very, very few professional operatic or classical-crossover sopranos even have Nessun Dorma in their repertoires (Puccini composed it for a tenor, and Pavarotti "owned"it). With that in mind, I'd challenge anyone to cite a recorded performance by another soprano that is better than Jackie's. The renowned Katherine Jenkins and Sarah Brightman doit very well, but, imho, not better than Jackie Evancho.
Albeit quite controversial, it's my belief that when you watch this concert, you're witnessing history being made, the debut of a megastar who could well become the standard by which other lyric sopranos of her coming generation will be judged. Yes, she's that good already. If the uninitiated expects to find on this CD and DVD the performance of a child, he or she will be stunned. It's a child performing, but the performance is fully adult, and even when judged and critiqued by adult standards it has been awarded very high praise.
She performed Nessun Dorma for her first appearance on Britain's Got Talent a year after her run on AGT. That utterly flawless, breathtaking, heart-stopping rendition is available on YouTube. Of the hundreds of comments left under that video, I think the one that best conveyed the feelings of most first-time viewers was by the person who wrote simply "Dear God in heaven!!!" That sums up this DVD/CD succinctly and perfectly. If you haven't yet seen & heard Jackie, you won't believe your eyes and ears.
a really lovely venue. The house and gardens are a part of the circus museum and are very elegant and
especially at Christmas a gorgeous place to visit. This is Jackie at her best and it is full of really nice music
and the purity of her young voice. I hope she gets the training she needs to continually improve and is in
time one of our greatest treasures in music. It is especially nice to see someone so young singing the best
of some really ancient music as well as some great new music. She is young but she sees the value of the
old and that shows a lot of wisdom and good management. She is definitely one to watch as she matures.
I highly recommend this set because it is music and video and both have something to offer which is very
