Bought this last November, after six months, finally I’ll say I’m satisfied after the last firmware update and now it can do multi floors!
Pros: great suction power; impressive maneuverability; does not fall off stair; easy-to-use app; long cleaning time; auto return to charge after cleaning or when running out of power; came with water tank and mopping pads; useful virtual wall and no-mopping zone; decent noise level; ability to schedule cleaning at different time for different rooms; spot cleaning function; auto change to turbo mode on carpet (needs to turn on the setting); newly added multi-floor map function with the latest firmware update (up to 3 maps); and very reasonably price compared to some expensive brands with similar functions!
Cons: did not have multi-level function as advertised at beginning (this was finally fixed in the last firmware update (6 months after I bought it); the noise level isn’t as bad as my dyson animal, but I wouldn’t say it’s quiet (standard mode), you can hear conversations but need to speak up a little; doesn’t automatically steer away from carpet when mopping, you have to setup no-mopping zone (I feel if it can turn itself to turbo mode on carpet it should be able to detect carpet and avoid it when mopping, but I’m not an engineer); it used to get stuck on a lounge chair’s u-shape leg as it tried to climb over it, but it seems to have learned the lesson overtime, it has not stuck on it recent couple months; from time to time it will give internal error half way during a cleaning, took me a while but I finally figured out I need to wipe the sensor clean and detangle the hair on brush, so I guess it was a human error, but I wish it would give a little more information on how to solve the issue instead of only shows internal error; it does pick up a lot hair/fur on the carpet but not all of them (I have a dog that sheds a lot on a daily basis); the mopping function is useful, but it is not enough to clean dirty water stains; in order for multi-level function to work, you have to manually switch the map, I hope they can improve this so the robot can auto switch map after first time.
Overall, I love my robot. For all the great functions it has, I’m willing to overlook the few shortcomings. Now I really just set the schedules and let it do its thing, except when I have to physically move it to another level.
Update: after about 7 months of use, the robot got malfunction, it would not clean or return to the dock due to an internal error, it said to clean the main brush even though the main brush was new or even when I completely remove the brush. I emailed the customer service and was informed that their repair center was about to open couple month later. Although I had to wait couple months, but eventually when it opened, they did “repaired” my vacuum for free, “repaired” is on quote because I think I got another refurbished model instead of my original one. Now it’s been about four months after I got it back, it functions well. So I’m gonna say I’m satisfied.
Recently discovered there’s a new remote function in app, must from a recent software update. Kinda useful when spilled a bag of rice :P

Overall Impression
This robot vacuum/mop combo is an unbeatable value with serious cleaning capabilities.
LIDAR
This is the most affordable robot vacuum I have seen that is equipped with LIDAR navigation/mapping. That feature is so incredible! The robot is smart and proceeds along an intelligent path. I compare it to when mowing a yard - when I mow a yard I go in a smart pattern. Other robots I have owned at this price point would just bounce around haphazardly and leave spots untouched or me guessing if they cleaned or not. With LIDAR, the Dreame D9 not only cleans EVERYWHERE, you can use the app to direct it to clean a particular room, stay away from a particular area, or focus on a particular area. No more magnetic strips to stop a robot or virtual barriers scattered about.
MOPPING
In addition to the superb LIDAR feature, this robot also has a mopping feature. At this price point, any wet cleaning is a huge bonus. It is not a spinning/scrubbing mop, but at those mop features are currently only on robots that cost several times what this one does. Again, this D9 is an incredible value. The mop tank is small but the pad is wide, and it is indeed superior to vacuuming alone.
CLEANING PERFORMANCE
The LIDAR and Mopping features are wonderful at this price, and I've yet to describe the cleaning efficacy of this machine! Family members in my household have long hair and this machine is first one I've ever seen that somehow gets the hair into the dustbin instead of ALL the hair wrapping around the brush roller. There is some hair on the roller, but the bulk of the hair goes in the bin, which is amazing. I am very happy with the cleaning performance, it is superior to big brand robots I have purchased at three times the price, and blows away the performance of other robots at the same price.
WIFI
I also want to comment on the WiFi connectivity. The instructions say it will only connect to a 2.4ghz network. My network is a dual band 2.4ghz and 5ghz network. OTHER robots I have had that are 2.4ghz only simply refused to connect, even though my network is dual band. I won't mention the other brand by name, but they remind me of poofy, and their customer service refused to acknowledge that their robot antenna was deficient. The Dreame antenna is superior and connected to my dual band wifi right away. It is so nice to start the robot when I'm out running errands and remember "oh, I could be vacuuming right now."
THE APP
The smartphone app version I am using is for iPhone. It made setup extremely easy. I was up and running in under 5 minutes. The first time the robot cleaned my place it built the map perfectly. I was able to use the app to combine zones that it thought were different rooms, and I was able to give rooms their own name, even create new names that weren't offered. I can initiate general cleaning, clean one room by tapping the room, or clean a special zone by drawing a box on the map I want to focus on.
CONCLUSION
I am really pleased with the D9. I have purchased one for home, one for work, and one as a gift. I am so impressed by the app functionality and the cleaning features that I aspire to one day upgrade to a Dreame L10S Ultra.

Mi único problema es que a veces enloquece con mis tapetes y no puede subirlos o bajarlos (creo que es por el borde de color negro que hace que el robot crea que es un desnivel). La más reciente actualización del firmware ya permite hasta 3 pasos/recorridos de aspirado y la app ya almacena hasta 3 mapas, ideal para limpiar 2 o 3 pisos
Estoy muy contento con mi D9. La recomiendo ampliamente.
