When I first started reading Dreams Takeoff, the perfectionist in me interfered with the story Jason Hallenborg was telling by critiquing its editing and typesetting. However, once I reigned this in, with the understanding that this is the author's first published book, I was able to understand and appreciate his purpose for writing it and the lessons it contains.

Jason tells the story of his unusually close relationship with his father, Carl. He reveals both the ups and the downs of such a relationship, the former far outweighing the latter. As both a memoir and an autobiography, I learned about an amazing father, husband and doctor and an accomplished airline pilot and budding author.

This book will grab your attention and teach you lessons you never knew you needed. It certainly did for me. Well done!
