It's inevitable that after you have read Dream Student, you are going to want to read Dream Doctor, and you won't stop there, you will want to continue to the next and so on! What a pain to finish a book and have to WAIT for UPS to bring the next one- don't do that! Plan ahead and be prepared to binge read this set! Dream Student introduces us to Sara, a college student who finds herself in the unusual position of visiting other peoples dreams. I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Read through the boxed set very quickly and I am now working my way through the following books back to back. Books are very light reading, with some suspense. Find the idea of dream visiting quite intriguing and like the way that the morals and perils of this is always questioned by the protagonist.

I downloaded Dream Student several months ago and was only about a third of the way through the book when I knew I had to read all of them and downloaded the (then) other three books in the series. I read book five as soon as it became available.

The first book begins with Sara, a junior in college, discovering she has a very unusual gift - she can find her way into other people's dreams. Unfortunately, one of the first dreams she walks into is that of the brutal murder of a young woman. When the body of a young girl is found in her college town, Sara realizes that she's witnessed more than just the sick fantasy of some twisted individual, she's witnessed a murder. Can Sara stop the killer before he strikes again?

As the books continue, Sara, now married and a mother, finds herself entering the dreams of others again and again, and it becomes clear that she's been giving a gift with a purpose - to stop whatever it is she's seeing. As events in the books develop, it becomes clear that her gift almost always come with a cost. Will she continue to be able to pay it?

JJ DiBenedetto has an amazing gift for writing believable characters and stories that keep you on the edge of your seat. At $7.99, these books are a bargain.

It held my interest, which is saying something; as it's an extremely long series of stories. It was well written; but didn't enjoy the false arrest story. It just seemed unrealistic for the strong lead character to suffer a mental breakdown after one day! Especially when they actually make her feel guilty over something she didn't do. Other than that, it was an interesting and fun read!

Dream Student:
This book is one of the best plotted books I have ever read. The characters come to life as the author takes us through Sara's story, page by page. The main character discovers she can see into people's dreams, and she soon finds herself in a nightmare when she sees murders taking place. This, however, is just part of the story. The author does a wonderful job with character development, adding each new friend and acquaintance one by one to build up a huge cast of characters and small storylines to go along with the larger mystery. The heroine is easy to connect with, a very likable pre-med college student. This is the first of the series and even though each book can stand alone, I would suggest starting with this one and working your way through the others. There is so much to learn about each person and their life and the author does a fantastic job of incorporating everything into the storyline and making it all come together smoothly in the end. This first book builds up to a thrilling ending, and I am sure you will want to go right to the next book as soon as you finish this one.
Dream Doctor:
This second installment of the Dreams series is a wonderful continuation of the story of Sara and Brian's life. This picks up soon after the first book and very much like the first book, the couple is in deep in their studies, in student life. Only this time, Sara is in med school and studying and going to class, which takes up most of her waking time. But when she isn't awake, she is back to dreaming and she has a new mystery to solve--who is trying to kill her professor? Everyone seems to hate him, so it could be anyone. This mystery is in the background throughout this book.
