Editorial Reviews

2010 release from the Punk/Metal outfit. Since the summer of 2005, 2cents has traced nearly every major highway in North America and visited almost every city from Nova Scotia to San Diego introducing their high energy live act and passion filled intense music to crowd after crowd of unsuspecting first time fans. Since returning from the road in late 2008, they have been writing their follow up to their debut album Lost At Sea. Now armed with an arsenal of new songs, production from Matt Hyde (Slayer), and some new faces including Adair Cobley of Manntis and Jason Wendell of Burden of Guilt, 2cents is preparing for a full blown assault on the music and media world.

I had never heard of this band. Then I went to a concert in Nashville, TN with headliners being 5FDP...The venue was 2 Cents, God Forbid, Shadows Fall, and 5FDP. It was awesome! 2 Cents opened and was amazing. The drummer is also the lead singer...he never missed a beat! Really good hardcore band. Take the term "hardcore" with a grain of salt. I don't like the naming of genres for metal bands, I think it is rediculous, but anyway, this band fricken rocks! Double bass, screaming guitars, shouted vocals, & some "party-worthy" lyrics. Nothing ground-breaking, but a damn good listen to have a good time while banging your head.

This is one of the best CD's I have ever heard as a debut recording from a new artist. I think it blends highly melodic choruses and hardcore riffs. My personal favorite songs are "Get What", "Love Like a Riot" and "Dressed to Kill", but I honestly don't think there is any tracks that would classify as the typical filler you hear on some more established artists. You can feel the raw energy throughout the entire CD! I have also had the opportunity to see them live with the opening for Korn, I can say it was a nice change to see the drummer of a band doing the lead vocals. It is definitely the best $10 that you could currently spend on a new artist's CD! You will NOT be disappointed!!

I saw them back in 2007 at the first Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio. As I was waiting to get in, I could hear them killing it. I finally made it in to see their last two songs and wad amazed how high energy they were. I made sure to check them out in 2011 when they returned. I am now the proud owner of both of their cds and would recommend them to anyone that enjoys hard rock/metal. They have a wonderful sound

Saw them open for Devildriver and Danzig on his latest tour. High energy band and really great set. Met them during breaks and they were friendly and easy going. Really enjoyed their set-list and would go see them perform again. I would say they are a mix between alternative and metal. The songs that really hit the mark for high energy live performance were... Love like a riot, Get What, Death Vegas.

2Cents is total party metal. I saw them live with Otep a long time ago and fell in love with the music. Its heavy, and fun, and the sound is very much their own. The only "down side" is that some of the sounds run into one another and you cant always tell them apart.
