Stealing Brandi Glanville's husband could possibly be the worst career mistake Leann Rimes ever made ... even worse then Coyote Ugly (and that's saying MORE then a lot). And within the pages of the biography, she's going to pay for it dearly.
Drinking and Tweeting is a salacious book from the open line directed to "v***** owners and gays", full of sound advice from a woman who has "been there and done that" ... some will call this book drivel and others will claim this book is the downfall of literary greatness. But, it's also the book that lifts the veil on divorce, infidelity and rebounding from heartbreak with a lot of humor and not a lot of grace. But ladies, or um ... "v***** owners" ... we've all been there.
Glanville pulls no punches and cuts a lot of teeth at the expense of others ... and why shouldn't she? This is, after all, her story. She pulled the short stick, might as well profit from it ... Leann has her music, Brandi has her whit ... to which I say, touché! One is definitely more entertaining then the other.
We've seen a lot of books from the housewives over the years from Taylor Armstrong's disastrous novel to Kyle Richards preachy offering. But Drink and Tweeting is by the far the closest one to truth.
I was glad that I bought it in hard copy (not eBook) and happy that I could curl around it - truly like sitting around talking to your best friend.
I do have a bias opinion towards Brandi as I love her personality on RH...but this book gave me a whole other side of her and I even feel proud of her after reading.
-She was able to take a potty-mouthed, hilarious and gorgeous person ....strip all of those things away and project a story of hardship and inspiration
-She makes it impossible to hate her by openly saying, yes, she took a crappy situation and a public divorce and made money from it....TO FEED and SUPPORT her children. For once, she used Eddie to her advantage...something he was not shy to do.
-She makes it clear that she is aware of the term "champagne problems", and doesnt want you to cry for her...just hear her story and feel inspired...no judgements
-She is strong enough to admit to her faults: like the excessive drinking at one point, but in no way is this her lifestyle. We all fall sometimes.
-I learned from a book by someone that I didnt expect to relate to. Yes, I thought I'd be entertained, but I never thought I would learn and be inspired.
-Could have been written a little better in terms of wording and intelligence...but I dont think that was the point
-It was too short! I wanted more!
There is not one section that you feel you just want to get through so you can get to the real story, the whole book was entertaining, inspiring and really insightful.
This was a great surprise and for that, 5 stars!

Great read! Fabulous gossip! Only wish it would have been longer and I was sad for it to end. :(Published 1 month ago by Martie Thompson
I chose a five star rating because of the honesty in this book. Brandi went through things a lot of us do and she is candid about all of it.
It wasn't what I was expecting. There wasn't much gossip about other bravo celebrities. Although I'm still a fan I found my self getting bored with some chapters.Published 2 months ago by JR0316

A rehash of everything you already know about Brandi Granville. She's clearly still obsessed with her ex-husband and LeAnn Rimes, but trying to prove she has moved on. Read morePublished 3 months ago by RCog
