i dont care if every one else hated it or thought it was weak because it wasnt the vocals could have been a little more guttural but the breakdown riffs in each song were awsome im mean they take simple slam riffs and make them bulldozing turmoil.. ecspecially in the song (invisable) which doesnt start out all that impressive but then goes into the groove riffage i mean there is so much creativity into each stroke its very brutal i liked it very much it is one of my favorite albums / iv never been to one of their shows because i live in tn but i would give my right arm to see them live they are my fav dm band and they will always keep it brutal and break it down!!!!!

This album is just great. Internal Bleeding along with bands like Skinless and Dying Fetus has some excellent breakdown moshing riffs in their death metal. They inject a bit of technicality and complexity in the music. The vocals are not incredibly brutal but still very good. The vocalist reminds me of Jason Netherton [ex Dying Fetus, now in Misery Index - check'em out too]. Another great thing about this band is the lyrical content. Very intelligent political/social stuff. A must have for the fans of groove slam technical deathgrind!

This album single handedly turned me into a death metal lover. Once upon a time, in my youth, I thought death metal was just too crazy. Internal Bleeding taught me to love the insanity by infusing it with hopping metal riffs. It is a perfect transition CD for people looking to take the plunge from metal to death metal. I strongly urge anyone who loves metal or death metal to buy this CD. Aight?

I hate to say this but this release bored me to death.
The guitar tone is weak, the playing is okay, some of the
riffs are cool. The vocalist is too "Joe Death Metal" for my
tastes. I can't say it's the worst thing I've ever heard it's
just that if I'm going to put on any I.B disc it's going to
be their demos and their first 2 cd's...Every song on this disc
kinda starts off the same: the intros are intense and intricate,
then it turns to boring mosh metal. Sorry guys I know you can do better...

This is definitely a genre that I dislike. Bands like Dying Fetus have seemed to acknowledge the mainstream direction of metal more than the ole classics like Altars Of Madness and Seven Churches, yet Internal Bleeding is one of the few groups in this category to actually catch my attention. Brutal, gut wrenching death metal crossed with heart-stopping rut-driven grooves that'll be certain to drive any metal lover crazy - that's the name of the game.
For people familiar with Internal Bleeding's earlier works, note that Driven To Conquer is the first CD by this band with a worthy production. Also note that, despite the groove-death tagline, the music here is technical enough to be appreciated by the average death metal fan. Sure, they're definitelly no Suffocation, but with this release, they have still impressed me.

I love this album. In my opinion, it's the best death metal album of 1999 (narrowly edging Monstrosity's excellent "In Dark Purity"). I like the ultra-technical, breakneck style of bands like Suffocation, Nile, and Cryptopsy, but Internal Bleeding isn't afraid to slow it down and grind it out. As a result, it's one of the heavier albums out there. It's a welcome change of pace in the death metal genre, and this album is as good as anything else out there. Overall, this is one my favorite death metal albums in my collection. It's an undiscovered gem in world of metal.

...because if you don't, you'll smash everything in sight by the time you hear the title track's crushing drive! The other albums were great, but they could never seem to get the production values right. This one is mixed perfectly, such that the vocals no longer overwhelm the guitars. As others have stated, they're not afraid to slow it down periodically within a track, just to pick you up off the floor and make you want to rage some more! As an added bonus, the remake of their "Inhuman Suffering takes the best of the old track and slams it into your subconcsious...

to anyone out there who liked the other discs, you,re gonna love this one.every disk they put out, they seem to always progress on way or another. My first listen to this disk blew my mind.the guitars are tight and heavy in all the right places. the drums are as always on it.the bass plays a huge roll as well, but i must say the addition of rays vocals was what put this one on top.The songs will suck you in with catchy heavy riffs. The production on this cd was outstanding as well. The only thing left for internal bleeding to do now is take over the world. look out .
