The program works well without problems. However, FTP is a bandwidth intensive endeavour, and constant ads not only interrupt the downloads but also pose a security risk. I uninstalled this and got the free (and ad-free) AndFTP (or the open source SwiFTP) instead, which both work nearly identically (but no ads). Both AndFTP and SwiFTP can be downloaded directly from the developer, without using an App market, too.

Downloaded this when I was vacationing in Mexico, only had my Kindle Fire, and had to update a website. Very easy to use; worked perfectly. The harder problem to solve was finding a text editor that recognized html files. I found Amoeba Text Editor, which I also wholeheartedly recommend.

I didn't think this was possible. But I had an "emergency" requirement to update a web site at a time when the computer I had on hand was malfunctioning. Using FtpCafe along with ES File Explorer and a text editor, I was able to update an HTML file remotely using the Fire. In some ways FtpCafe was easier to use than my computer's FTP client. Kudos to the authors.

While I normally use scp to do one off transfers on a system, sftp via this little app is great for the Archos 43 that I have. It handles keys, saved passwords, or prompted passwords. After a brief look, I got the Pro version.

Oh, and kudos for the foresight to provide import/export so you don't lose all your setup when you go from the free to the paid app, etc.

I needed an FTP interface to copy files from a web site periodically.
I like using a "file explorer" interface that lets me easily browse the directory tree and select the files required.
The product provided exactly what I wanted.... select a folder on local storage for files to be copied to, select multiple files on remote host, and copy.
It is amazingly fast and once the security parameters are set up, very little interaction.

This program works great for transferring files from server to my tablets. I have never had a problem and have it loaded on 3 tablets. Highly recommended for ease of use and reliable transfer of files.

This app installed easily and does what it claims. I installed this on my Skypad Alpha 2 tablet and it enabled me to ftp, as well as sftp with SSH, to web sites. It's a simple yet powerful tool that allows me to access web sites when traveling without needing to carry my notebook computer.

FTP apps aren't intended for the casual human -- they're tools for techies. FtpCafe lets me do the same kinds of FTP tasks on my Kindle Fire HD that I do on my laptop, with all the configuration options I need to match all of the oddball hosts I access on a daily basis. I'm currently using the "free" version, which is financed by displaying a scrolling ad window at the top of the screen. It's pretty innocuous, but I plan to upgrade to the paid version to get rid of the distraction and give me what I expect will be a full five-star experience.
