The Jagunda Feeder features a unique squirrel proof design. The clear polycarbonate feeder tray doubles as a pole-mounted squirrel baffle to prevent squirrels from reaching the seed. The feeder reservoir has a large six quart capacity. The 15" feeder cover shelters birds while protecting seed from the weather. The Jagunda mounts easily on the included 7.5' black steel pole. Use the included 17.5" long pole auger to keep your pole mounted securely in the ground. A 3/4" Threaded Pole Adaptor is also included for mounting a tube feeder on the top of the pole in addition to the Jagunda.

Update 11/26/2014: Another Amazon commenter suggested attaching small tree branches to the feeder to get the birds something to latch onto when they landed and it really worked well. Droll Yankees says to just drop the ADPT Pole adapter into the opening on the Collet Knob when finished assembling but it doesn't attach to anything if you do that....I even called them to verify that was their method of assembly and they politely confirmed it. Instead, I placed the ADPT pole adapter with the HEX nut end facing up all the way up inside the Collet Knob and then screwed the Collet Knob onto the Collet Insert which secured the ADPT pole adaptor much better than just loosely dropping it inside the Knob. I then used some Marine silicone sealer around the top of the Collet nut to seal the small gaps between the top of the Pole Adaptor where it was flush against the underside of the Collet Knob to rainproof the possibility of rain entering the mounting pole and rusting it from the inside out.
CHAPTER 2:It is now mid-April 2014. The situation has run out of hand! This Jagunda has become so popular that I get as many as 10 squirrels feeding from the seed droppings on the ground and scores of blackbirds and pigeons pushing around on the feeder tray. The result is that I had to spend $12 every 2 days to buy 20-pound bags of wild bird feed.
As I am on a retired budget, I had to stop using this feeder, but I still have another hanging pole tube feeder from the same company without a feeder platform that is being used more by bluejays, finches and cardinals. This one is 90% squirrel proof and uses less feed because of the perches.
