Editorial Reviews

Review

"This is one of the best romance mystery books that I have ever read! You won't be disappointed in Ms. Gisby's writing! As an author, I know the rule of "presenting the villain" early in the book, but never knew who it really was until the last pages! I read this on vacation, and made my husband set in the hot car in the middle of the desert for ten minutes so that I could finish reading it before taking my turn at driving!" - Epstein LaRue, author of Crazy Thoughts of Passion and Love at First Type

"I should know better than to begin an Annette Gisby book toward the end of the evening. As usual, I wound up sitting right where I was and reading it straight through. I am not a fan of the thriller genre, but Drowning Rapunzel is not a conventional thriller. This author doesn't rely on blood and gore to shock her readers into an appropriately unnerved state. Instead she writes about ordinary people doing ordinary things, lulling us right along with her heroine until she drops the tale's next bombshell." - Nina M. Osier, author of High Places and Eppie award winner for Regs.

"Drowning Rapunzel is a delightful mystery and a delightful romance. There are secrets and plot twists aplenty. I enjoyed watching Beth and Josh slowly fall in love as they deal with the people and happenings around them." - Judy Cook, for www.romancestudio.com

"As a suspense novel, Drowning Rapunzel is quite good...The plot of the suspense is very well written-with each character playing a part of the whole...it definitely keeps you guessing and evaluating potential suspects all the way through...if you like mystery/suspense then it gets a thumbs up from me!" - AlexJouJou, Manic Readers Review, 4/5 STARS!"It was exciting to open a book and get that spine tingling feeling right away. Ms. Gisby has a talent for writing creepy scenes- the murder mystery plot line caught and held my attention." -Cam, Novelspot Reviews --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

About the Author

Annette Gisby grew up in a small town in Northern Ireland, moving to London when she was seventeen. Being a very small town there were no bookshops and a small library. When she'd devoured every book she could get her hands on in the library, she started writing her own stories so she would always have something to read later. When not writing she enjoys reading, cinema, theatre, walks along deserted beaches or wandering around ruined castles (great places for inspiration!) New Zealand is her favourite place and she hopes to travel back there one day. She's a fan of Japanese Manga and Anime and one day hopes to learn Japanese. She currently lives in Hampshire with her husband, a collection of porcelain dolls and stuffed penguins and enough books to fill a small library. It's diminishing gradually since the discovery of ebooks but still has a long way to go. --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.
