This was a perfect story to read for Halloween. The author does a fabulous job with descriptions! I felt as if I were part of the story as it reminded me of being a child out trick or treating. I am just glad that I never had contact with the druggist.
I highly recommend this to anyone who likes creepy, rather dark, scary, nightmarish short stories! This is a story that will play with your mind since I am afraid to turn over and make sure sleeping hubby doesn't have a top hat on his head! *screams*
This is a short, suspenseful, and haunting type of story which is rather disturbing--but isn't that what spooky thrillers are supposed to be? Very well written and edited. It makes the reader feel a lot of emotions.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but not for the young reader. Would I re-read it? Are you kidding? As good as it was, once was enough to give me the creeps!
THE DRUGGIST is an unusual but compelling story. Very vividly described, all senses are evoked, and the reader's heart strings are repeatedly tugged. A surprising kicker ending following a startling denouement create a memorable, thought-provoking story.
A desperate father searches for a man who drugs and abducts children on Halloween night and who abducted his daughter 5 years ago. But, something goes wrong and he find himself in the hands of The Druggist.
This was one crazy ride of a story that I found for free on Amazon (currently it is 99 cents). I loved how it began and the way it moved through the story, but the end, though interesting, is confusing and doesn't get explained as fully as I felt it needed to be. Still a good story.
