This was a perfect story to read for Halloween. The author does a fabulous job with descriptions! I felt as if I were part of the story as it reminded me of being a child out trick or treating. I am just glad that I never had contact with the druggist.
I highly recommend this to anyone who likes creepy, rather dark, scary, nightmarish short stories! This is a story that will play with your mind since I am afraid to turn over and make sure sleeping hubby doesn't have a top hat on his head! *screams*
This is a short, suspenseful, and haunting type of story which is rather disturbing--but isn't that what spooky thrillers are supposed to be? Very well written and edited. It makes the reader feel a lot of emotions.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but not for the young reader. Would I re-read it? Are you kidding? As good as it was, once was enough to give me the creeps!
THE DRUGGIST is an unusual but compelling story. Very vividly described, all senses are evoked, and the reader's heart strings are repeatedly tugged. A surprising kicker ending following a startling denouement create a memorable, thought-provoking story.

This short story was really creepy. It was very well written, and got you hooked right from the beginning. The ending was sorta strange, but a good book.Published 21 months ago by kk
Solid short story. As much characterization as necessary to keep things moving and no more, easy language, and compelling plot.Published 23 months ago by NH

The writing is simple but the story is very lucid and imaginative. THe language leads from a realistic world into a cold crisp night on Halloween. Read morePublished on December 26, 2013 by Dominic Wahl-Stephens
Was a pretty good story line. I thought it ended rather strange and abrupt.
All in all I enjoyed the read.
The story was engaging but a little bit predictable. I feel like the story had promise but was a bit rushed in its execution.Published on November 20, 2013 by Garrett Mccutcheon
I really liked it, really an interesting storyline! I was sad when it ended, I wanted it to go on.Published on November 14, 2013 by Gina R.
The Druggist is a sharp edged crisp story that is very dark. Classic Gothic horror with an updated theme featuring a compelling monster. Another great effort by Croak-Falen. Read morePublished on November 14, 2013 by Reg228
