This book didn't quite match my birth year, but I thought it looked better than the Caldecott winner from my birth year. It seems like it held up pretty well. It's not an old family favorite, but it's just another children's book that fits right in with the other newer popular book choices (like the Day the Crayon's Quit or Book with No Pictures). I chose it because it was a Caldecott winner, but it seems to hold up on it's own merit against popular modern children's books. It's still memorable and a fun read/listen.
