I've used this product for many years to freshen and clean blouses, sweaters, slacks and simple dresses. Works great on lightly soiled clothing and has reduced my dry cleaning bill by about 80%. I do not use this for fine items, suits or anything that requires serious pressing. Just 30 minutes in the dryer on permanent press, hang for an hour or so (clothes are slightly damp when removed), lightly press if necessary, and you're all done.
I used to purchase the refills at Target, but only the Starter Kit is available there now. The Starter Kit contains the cleaning bag, soil remover, cleaning booster and only 3 bags. This purchase comes with 2 boxes of refills containing 6 cleaning sheets each, so you can clean 48 items for less than $1 each. Unbeatable.
This is a great product if you don't want to spend the money having all your shirts dry cleaned. We do it in our dryer using this product and the containers provided. The result is a clean smelling finish for our clothes without the high price tag of dry cleaning. You still have to iron the clothes yourself, but otherwise, it's easy to use and works very well if you follow the directions carefully. Thanks for a great alternative to taking my husband's shirts to the dry cleaners every week.
As described. It is more convenient than going to the cleaners. Not sure if the full cost of the product will result in overall savings though. Comparing costs is not the only consideration though - the clothes come out wrinkly, vs dry cleaner they are pressed - and I'm using the steam setting as it describes. So, it has value, I'm just not sure you can say it 'replaced' the need to use the dry cleaner.
I've been using this product for many years now, mostly for my blouses worn to work or shirts that can shrink in the wash. Instead of throwing them in the wash every time I wear them, I freshen them in the dryer. Unless they actually get dirty, I only wash the item with about every fourth time I wear it.
This does not take the place of dry cleaning, but your washable clothes will last longer if they aren't washed each time they're worn.
It comes with a cleaning solution to spot clean a stain and I've actually only used that a couple of times. That did work. But since I used these re-freshening sheets so often, I'm drowning in bottles of cleaning solution. Would prefer to pay less and leave the cleaning solution out of it.
So yes, the product works for me and I'm happy with it, but give me an option where I'm just buying refill sheets.
Love love love these!! Easy to use and very cost effective when calculating the dry cleaning bill together with the time of driving to/from the cleaners. They smell so fresh when you pull them from the dryer and the stain remover included with the purchase has saved me a few times as well !!
It works to refresh a very lightly soiled shirt. Don't expect a shirt that you have mildly sweated in (men) most of the day to suddenly be light it was after dry cleaners. If you don't sweat much or if you wear a t-shirt and want to refresh your items, this works great.
Tip: take the bag out of the dryer right when its done and hang the clothes up, this will save you lots of ironing.
