DuPont whole house water filter technology increases clarity of your entire home's water by reducing sediment, which extends the life of appliances that process water. These filters fit most other brands of whole house water filters. The DuPont Pleated Poly Whole House Cartridge reduces Sediment. The Pleated Poly cartridge consists of Poly Pleat construction versus paper construction. Poly construction is stronger and will not break down as quickly in the water. The unversal design means it is compatible with GE, Whirlpool, Culligan, Omni, Watts and most standard size water filter systems.

10" cartridge (nominal)
Dimensions: 2.5" Diameter x 9.625" height (Standard 10" housing)
During my 10 years of testing I found all filter companies tell me the "micron size" but no one at any retail store (or Amazon) can tell me what that means to me. If the micron size is very small the filters fill (or clog) very quickly and then we lose water pressure in the house. Nothing is worse than low water pressure when you are taking a shower. If the micron size is too large then you are not filtering out the iron or iron odor.
So after years we found this one DuPont WFPFC3002 Universal Whole House Pleated Poly Cartridge, 2-Pack for the 1st in line (closest to the well output) and this one DuPont WFPFC8002 Universal Whole House Carbon Wrap 2-Phase Cartridge, 2-Pack second inline.
We have to change them once a month or we start to lose water pressure. We write the date on this label Avery Removable Dry Erase Labels, Blue Border, 3.75 x 2.5 Inches, Pack of 10 (41450) so we can remember the date to change (like they do on car oil changes).
This is the filter solution for me.
NOT good for the first Line of Filtering, and if planning on using for a whole House id Either get the 20" or run 2 10" canisters in parallel.
My House system is Sensitive to pressure loss. I can't use these.... if your's is too, stay away unless you use a Larger unit
The DuPont's have a micron rating of twenty and the HDX's are rated at 30 microns.
BTW, HDX is Home Depot's cheap-o brand.
I keep these for an emergency, not worth the effort to return.
