Not a fan!

I'm not quite where to start with this review other than if you're looking for a product to do what this does I would go with another company. And in all fairness I made numerous attempts to contact Coredy Customer Service to troubleshoot the product before I returned it. I emailed CS and they replied....ONCE...they gave a recommendation and I followed their instructions. It didn't help. And that was the last time they would respond to any further inquiries. Which as anyone knows is very aggravating!

So for the money it's a fairly cheaply constructed product, but I suppose it doesn't have to do much to get the job its supposed to do done. After lots of googling and scouring the interwebs I found the the possible problem. I believe it was the computer configuration I was trying to attach it to a AIO HP desktop with touchscreen. Apparently the touchscreen drivers somehow conflict with the graphics processor and things go badly.

I think if Coredy CS would have responded to further emails we probably could have resolved the issue. I still would have returned it but would have a better review of their CS. Anyway I hope this helps anyone in the future with a similar configuration.

This thing works great and saved me from having to buy a new laptop after a freak incident blew my HDMI output and my external monitor. I use my laptop to host karaoke parties and now I can connect to my external monitor placed for the performer and to a television for the audience to see! I was not able to do this before even when both the HDMI and the SVGA ports worked.

Add 2 adapters and ethernet port

I constantly have to go back and forth between my current dual monitor setup and at least 6 different open applications. Having a third monitor would be very helpful.

My workstation only had two DVI outputs so I thought I was stuck with two monitors unless I upgrade the video card again.

Most of the display/graphics adapters that I saw gave the ability of adding a single monitor via USB 2.0 or 3.0. But this one was way better - it allows two monitors per adapter (one via hdmi and another via DVI or display port). And on top of that, it also acts as a gigabit ethernet port!

One of the features you can do with this is hook it up to your windows device that has a usb port but lacks an ethernet port and display port. This will give that device the ability to use up to two extra monitors as well as internet connection via ethernet. Amazing!

Right now, I'm just using it at work with my other two monitors. First thing I did was get another 24" monitor. Then I used the included cd to install the software needed to run this adapter. I work off of windows 7 64-bit and for some reason the software that came with the adapter wasn't updated enough for my current video card. It instructed me to try to get updated software from Coredy's website. I was bummed and nervous that I wasn't going to be able to get it to work, but I found newer software and installed it. Once installed and a restart of the computer, it hooked up great and easily. I just had to rearrange the placement of my monitors through windows, but other than that it did everything else for me.

It works almost perfectly. There is absolutely no lag or anything like that. The performance and look from that 3rd monitor seems no different than what it would have been like if I upgraded the video card.

Now, I did say almost perfectly. When I log off for the night and then log back on in the morning, my log in page is all distorted but not to the point that I can't see the login box. Once I'm logged in, it looks better but the first thing I do is open Outlook and put it on my 3rd screen (the one that is attached to this adapter). The picture is messed up when I have anything on that monitor. I can't minimize or maximize or restore or drag away and back or anything else to make it work right.

It's unusable unless I do one of two things: 1) restart the computer or 2) turn off the monitor and turn it back off via the display adapter's software located in the notification panel. After either two, it works perfectly again. This seems to only happen when I log back in after having been logged out all night. It's not a big deal, though i'm just waiting for my IT guy to make a big deal out of nothing when he tries logging in and sees the login screen all jacked up at first.

Other than that little glitch, this graphics adapter works awesome. Without a doubt, if you're going to get a display/graphics adapter, you might as well pay the extra money for this.

Make sure to check out with the system requirements are. Other than that, it's almost "plug and display" like they call it, not counting the installation of the software.

It works alright on USB 2.0

I originally had a lot of issues trying to get this to work on one of my USB 3.0 ports. My issues cleared up once I hooked it up to a USB 2.0 port. I've updated to 4 stars because it works perfectly fine with two 1080p monitors attached to it that way.

I am having a lot of issues out of the box with this thing disconnecting itself and then reconnecting a couple seconds later. It will happen in sporadic intervals between 5 seconds and 15 minutes. I am using Windows 10 with the latest version of their driver off of their website, it is directly attached to a USB 3.0 port (not through a hub or any extension cable), and I am using a single monitor connected to the HDMI port at 1920x1080.

I am currently working with their technical support. I'll update my review if I can get this resolved.

Received this product today and I am already blown away with how simple it was to use. I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre and had three monitors connected but wanted a fourth. I was using a VGA, DVI, and DisplayPort on the Lenovo. I originally planned to just plug a single monitor into this device but it works so well I am powering two off of it and two off the computer.

I am running Windows 10 and when I plugged it in it installed the DisplayLink software but did not come up. However, I just checked for update with windows update and before it even finished looking for updates the driver load screen popped up and the displays came right on. Simple easy, Very good quality, Very good price. If you are looking for a solution to add 1-2 more monitors (or even more with more of these units) BUY THIS UNIT! You will not regret it at all.

Linux not really supported.

Linux support is misleading, Does not work on nvidia+ubuntu 16 with current displaylink drivers. No screen detected. Will mess up your existing x configurations also.

I was able to get it to display by not using proprietary nvidia drivers, however it caused the rest of my displays to flash and lowered performance across all monitors drastically. This is a known issue with this device according to DisplayLink and there seems to be no known fix. [...]
