I have quickly learned that buying Dualshock 4 controllers on Amazon is a gamble. I have successfully purchased genuine ones but have received two counterfeit controllers that I have returned. There are a few red flags to watch out for.
1) Box is lighter in color than original boxes, and the size of the box is slightly smaller.
2) The controller is light in weight.
3) The light bar is a whole different shade of blue and is super bright, one of the most obvious differences.
4) Look closely at the shapes on the buttons, usually ( X ) is misshaped.
5) L3 and R3 are super loud when "clicked" as well as the triggers.
6) The booklet that it comes with is way different from the booklet found in the genuine products.
As a collector of genuine Sony, Playstation products, I advise you to think twice about purchasing controllers, and if you do make sure you are paying for genuine merchandise.
