This is a nice collection of dubstep beats to introduce you to the genre.

However, for me personally, I want my dubstep to be a little more edgier with more ferocious beats.

A few of the songs in this collection get a little too melodic for my tastes.

Plus, they don't really break any new ground, so it can sound a little repetitive.

Good songs, but if I heard them in the club back in my Miami days, I'd probably hit the bathroom or the bar.

Not really, holy crap, I can't stop dancing type of beats, if you know what I mean.

This is the elevator version of Dubstep. Something for your mother and I don't think she will like it either.

Ok, many people d0 not consider this "real" dubstep, as so many have pointed out. This might be true but I don't know because I am not the authority on what constitutes whats "real" in any genre. What I know is that this small collection is edgier than most electronic dance music with the breaks, pacing, effects, and sample styles often associated with dubstep. It might not be genuine enough for some but I am enjoying it with some of the tracks in regular rotation on the old iPod. If you like harder cuts of house, trance, and other styles of energetic dance music, you'll probably find something you like here.
Maybe they should have titled this differently, but I don't think "Fast-paced edgy electronic dance music from Florida" would have looked good on the album art.

I will admit that up to now I've listened to the big names only - Skrillex, Krewella, etc. I was hoping for more of that and got quite disappointed here. The stuff isn't big enough that a casual listener like me has ever heard of, and after I think the second time listening to this album I got rid of it off my ipod. They all sound the same, the drops are either non existent or so built up that you're left hanging waiting. I think there are better albums out there, but if you just want something mindless to game to this is perfectly adequate.

Fire Alarm is the only song that I loved on this free e.p. It has a very adrenalized tempo. And I can actually see it being played in one of the many night clubs that line Collins Ave. down in the 305. 5 stars for just this song. 3 stars for the rest of them. Stay bright Miami.

Eh its ok its a softer lighter version of dubstep I prefer the harder stuff but then so is LMFAO so its tolerable mix it in a playlist with the harder stuff to help mix it up some. I'm also a big fan of Hardstyle too which is far harder then Dubstep most of the time. according to the books Dubstep is 120 beats per minute and Hardstyle is 180 Beats per minute

I have been a basshead for as long as I can remember during golden age of Miami Bass in the early 90's. My son turned me on to dubstep and since then I have been hooked. I love the bass drops, beats, synth sounds and vocals that brings bass music to a new level. I also liked this offering on Amazon since I was able to download this album for free.

of this music before. (never knew what it was called anyway). I heard a "dub step" song on a commercial, so went looking for it on Amazon. Ran across this little CD and downloaded it. I have to say, it is "different". The CD is free, so i can't complain. :)
